“Relaxing Country Getaway”

Not knowing what to expect we arrived on Wednesday for a 2 night stay. The minute you park the car you relax. The cottage has everything you could possibly want and more. We had 2 children with us and they loved their stay. The quiet road was very safe for them and they liked the donkeys, horse and cats. The beds were cosy, the cottage is clean, the owners were friendly, there are DVDs for children and adults and board games. There is an open farm a few miles up the road which makes a lovely day out. Would go back again.

“Goes the extra mile”

A lovely cottage to escape to in a secluded area of the Irish country-side. But still accessible to local towns and the coast. Bigger inside than expected. Spotlessly clean. A real home from home. Owners really go the extra mile and made us feel welcome- with complimentary scones and home-made jams on arrival. The kids loved the large garden, and bonus bikes, and the friendly horse and donkey too! Would definitely return and recommend to friends. Thanks for a lovely stay!

What a great find and perfect location- it only we could have stayed more than one night. Clean, homely & with a lovely feel to the place- we loved that it's been in the family for so long and still being loved. The welcome basket was good, as too the welcoming party of the donkeys and shire horse. Bed was comfortable and place was cosy, and the washing machine and dryer was extremely handy- thanks so much. Tourist information was brilliant, as too the wifi and DVDs. We had a pint at the pub at nearby Carracastle- really lovely and friendly locals. Fantastic and highly recommended.

“Just perfect!”

Frank's cottage was absolutely perfect from every point of view... Spotless, homely & extremely comfortable. Jude & Seamus seem to have thought about everything to make their guests just feel at home... Basics like milk, juice, & butter in the fridge, a welcome basket with freshly baked scones , jam, tea & coffee, heating in the morning and evening, washing machine, tumble dryer and the list goes on the on... A wide range of DVDs, loads of tourist information, Jude and Seamus discreet but extremely helpful. A definite ten out of 10! The children send their regards to the delightful donkeys and horse. Thank you so much!!!

“Better than expected. Best value in Ireland!”

We were always a bit worried as Franks Cottage was a bit off the beaten track. We should not have been. Excellent accommodation exceeding our expectation. Two bed rooms, large kitchen, utility room, shower room and lounge. Very well equipped.
Two visits early on from the owners family to ensure that everything was ok.
We used it as a stop off point on way from Southern Ireland to Northern Ireland.
If you like quiet open countryside, far from the maddening crown I would recommend Franks Cottage.
