I went to the museum with my husband and two children (ages 5 and 8). I figured we can stay two hours max, because museums typically bore small children. We ended up leaving after 4 hours and sat in the car already making plans for our next visit there.
So, what made our visit so enjoyable?
1. Friendly staff. There are several staff members guiding the visitors. Pointing out interesting facts, reminding when the movie starts etc. And they are very welcoming and good conversationist. The museum felt very warm because of it.
2. The exhibition is very versatile and planned skillfully. Every room has plenty to read and at the same time children have their own parts that they can enjoy.
3. You cannot enter with your shoes. You must wear your socks or the slippers they provide. This means that the museum is extremely clean!
4. The food! Affordable, simple and delicious!
5. The location. There is an adventure trail next to the museum. One is higher and with a fee, but the other is lower and great for children and parents! There is a nice memorial stone near the museum and there is an outdoor museum area, where we were too tired to go. Well, next time.
We all really enjoyed the visit and it inspired me to write my very first Tripadvisor review!
