o had the island's speciality here finally, small ice cream shop next to it is ok.here the food was not that great.in the sea food platter, squids were very less in quantity and there weere mmore of chips.service is slightly slow and the toilets are filthy.but its amongst the tourist attraction restaurants besides the one belonging to hotels.

Best start with the price 600SCR (Seychellois Rupees) per person, that's around €35 EUR or £32 GBP per person, drinks apart as expected. We were told it was a "special" menu that evening. Taking into account that includes a 15% VAT rate + a 5% to 10% service charge it doesn't look so bad. All okay so far but having arrived at just after 8:30pm we could not help but notice that the large fish at the grill counter was mostly gone, the chicken wings had mostly flown by this time of the evening and around half a dozen buffet options were finished or near-finished and not replaced. If the grill counter only offered 3 options + hot dog sausages (we can only assume these were for the children), then this was not a good sign. But we made the most of it, I still managed to get some white fish, & two chicken wings, my wife wasn't as lucky. She thus opted for the tuna steak. Over to the salads and so-called "creole" specialties. All pretty mundane, a cold pasta salad, a mango salad, some fritters, a few stews with rice. Pretty average fare and ingredients nothing you couldn't find in good work or school canteen. Creole specialties? Sorry, but we left non the wiser. In fairness having stated the above the food was edible, the sort you get on a boat excursion tour bbq & salad picnic buffet. Which brings us back to my initial point - 600SCR is excessive. We don't think many locals will be willing to pay this price, so this really is a bland, average tourist trap. It does what it says on the tin but sorry you're having a laugh at our cost. For a place that makes me have to go and get my own drinks at the bar, the food at the buffet and serves nothing that unique or memorable is not the reason most of us travel to Seychelles. I know Seychelles has the heritage of a Francophile mentality with a very narrow range of lunch and dining hours, but watching most of the bar, waiting and restaurant staff sitting down eating away before the gong had even hit 9:30pm with many customers still trying to finish their meals reflects the overall service attitude of a bygone era, no longer applicable in most parts of the world. Seychelles is lovely, but ...

The one thing lacking in Seychelles is good restaurants by the beach.. the boat house is one of the 3 restaurants located near the beach. The only downfall is they only serve buffet and no a la carte. They have a small section on the side which has few sandwich options and is not very appealing. It would be good if they offered the Creole food in an a la carte option rather than having to eat the buffet which looks like it's served afternoon to night and with the heat in Seychelles it's not the best..
Would recommend the place for drinks by the bar as that has a good vibe/atmosphere at night.

Great beach style pub, perfect way to end the day in Seychelles! Good selection of seafood dishes, as well as local creole inspired buffet.
