There are a lot of complaints about the service, the food and the quantity of food, which I did not experience. I really liked this restaurant. It's in a nice location and the restaurant is spacious, airy and traditional.
I found the service to be very efficient, almost too efficient in fact. The food was fine. We had a soup to start which was tasty, followed by a chicken curry with rice and a little salad, portion was not huge but I found it to be sufficient. The only disappointment was the frozen ice cream dessert which was too hard and didn't taste great. I had hoped, that the island being a major banana exporter, that at least some part of the meal might have included banana, but it didn't. Red wine was really lovely, fruity and not too strong. As a bonus, the table next to us did not finish their bottle so we enjoyed a few more glasses.
I liked La Zuma, I'd like to go back some time.
