we stayed at the beach cove b&b for one night in mid june, during our tour of the Ring of Kerry, just to sum up, Wow the location is fantasic ! as the name suggests its right on the beach, our hosts Birdi & Jack were most welcoming upon our arrival, the room was delightful, with a great sea view,it was like being in a friends home.Breakfast was served in the lounge with a wonderful view of the atlantic ocean, the only down side was we did not stay longer !

Room Tip: we found room no 3 to be ideal

Peaceful B&B with charming host. Immaculate room, comfy bed, yummy breakfast. The location is standout - directly across from the beach and off the busy Ring of Kerry. Excellent nearby hike - Bolus Barracks Loop. Fall asleep to nothing but the sound of the breaking ocean waves. Drive to dinner is about 10-15 minutes.

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms (1 and 2) have nice ocean views.

We stayed at Beach Cove for one night, after driving from Kinsale to Ballinskelligs via Kenmare. This is a beautiful B&B with magnificent views of the Atlantic, and the Skellig islands in the distance. We were warmly welcomed by Bridie, who showed us to our wonderful triple room on the first floor (which was actually more like a suite in that each bed had its own room off of a small private entryway). We were able to sleep listening to the crashing waves, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast while we continued to enjoy the views from the breakfast room which faces the front of the house. We had arranged with Bridie in advance to take the boat trip from Portmagee out to Skellig Michael (which is an experience not to be missed if your schedule allows for it). She took care of reserving our seats on the boat and confirming the night before with the boat operator that the trip would be going as scheduled. Being that this was our first trip to Ireland, we were trying to visit as many parts of the country as we reasonably could within our 10 days so we did not plan for more than one night here. However, if we were to return to Ireland, we would definitely book at least 2 nights so we could just linger and enjoy this remote and stunning location, and the great hospitality we experienced at Beach Cove.

The drive to this designation was absolutely beautiful! However, it was very cold and unexpected. The beach was just across the road and it was wonderful! This little area is a bit remote so dinner in town is recommended.

During our time in Ireland, this B&B had the best rooms and space. The owner was very pleasant and helpful.

My husband, 25 year old daughter and I stayed in the self-catering apartment at the Beach Cove Inn during the first week of June 2016. The 2 story, 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment is in a converted garage next to the main house, and had plenty room for the 3 of us. We did not use the kitchen so I won't comment on this. Bridie and Jack were warm and welcoming hosts. The traditional Irish breakfast was delicious; a nice breakfast buffet was also available.
It was a beautiful and unusually warm and sunny day that my husband and daughter went to Skellig Michael leaving me with a little alone time. I sat outside the B&B with a few good books and an amazing view of St. Finnialn's Bay Cove and Skellig Michael in the distance. It was breath taking. I took a wonderful walk along the beach and among the rocks. It was so peaceful and beautiful; a day I will always remember.
A word about getting to Beach Cove B&B if you are coming from Portmagee: the roads are very narrow, windy and steep providing an exciting (or scary, depending on your point of view) and scenic drive that you will want to do during the daylight hours without a pint under your belt.
