Had the scallops and monkfish, partner had the seafood chowder and seabass. Great seafood and excellent service. Lovely breads and small cup of complimentary cauliflower soup to begin the meal.
Great Guinness. Would definetly recommended

Went for a meal here ( two couples ) on the back of a recommendation from a shop assistant the next town over. Great recommendation. went in with no booking and though we might struggle to get a table when I saw the front of the building. Its a lot more spacious than you would think so we were lucky to a nice table. Staff were very good, very helpful. Never pressured us to finish up, even though we were the last to leave. The homemade breads they brought out to start with were beautiful. starters were lovely, fresh crab, seafood chowder and salmon. Main course were monkfish, cod between the orders and they were all cooked perfectly. Finished off with a lovely homemade vanilla crème brulee followed by a few more glasses of wine. Would certainly recommend the place if you are staying around the area, are from the area or are just passing through towards the cliffs of Moher or Doolin. We did notice on the way ou that they have a very different menu for lunch to cater for all. would very much go back here in the future.

This place was highly recommended to us for the best chowder on the coast of clare. So much so, we drove back on ourselves an extra 32 km to taste the infamous chowder.
The place was busy with a few bus loads of tourists.
Friendly staff (but not very interested in the fact we weren't satisfied with the chowder) efficient service but bitterly disappointing 5 portions of chowder! Essentially it was a wholesome vegetable soup with lots of chopped up veg, with some white fish thrown in for show!! No seafood taste, no shellfish. Nothing compared to the delicious chowder we had in the Blue Door in Adare or in a pub in Dingle.
The other meals coming from the kitchen looked good, generous portions but I certainly wouldn't rate the chowder unfortunately!

But you should be there for the scenery and hospitality anyway! Breakfast as part of the B&B was absolutely delicious. The tap water was a bit suspect, but they very generously left us a basket of cookies, tea, coffee, and bottled water. Keys come on a little teaspoon, cute but a little bulky. The dinner menu is on the posh side, picky eaters beware. The rooms are pretty and the beds are comfortable. They're located near the Cliffs of Moher and walking distance from a few pubs. Would stay again!

Ate here with family & friends and couldn't believe how expensive it has become and the small portion starters ( 3 tiny scallops for almost €10) & €19.95 for ordinary fish & chips and no deserts for less than€8.50 . Get a grip ☹️☹️ this is a pub.
