We paid our third visit to Nonsuch Bay, and we were not disappointed. We had the most fantastic tholiday with our teenage girls, and everyone was happy. We had a lovely welcome back from staff and were shown to our beautiful beachfront villa.
The food was terrific - particularly lunch with lots of lovely salads, fresh fish and a great range of puddings.
The beachfront staff did an amazing job clearing the sargassum, and towards the end seemed to have won the battle, with the bay almost clear and the turquoise shallows returning. Constant trips to green island meant there was no shortage of beautiful clear waters to swim and snorkel in, with cold drinks on hand which was an added bonus.
Marcus and Sheldon did a great job bringing drinks to the resort pool and the beach. There are so many staff to highlightt and it would be impossible to name them all, but particular thanks go to Scherena, Maxine, Chris, David, Labrisca, Ruth, Anya, Natasha, all the reception staff who made our stay such a happy one.
The kitesurfing school was a big hit, as ever, with our family. The tuition is second to none, and our 13 year old was up and running on her own in the second week, and my eldest daughter was not far behind. I even had a go and realised that doing it on the second to last day was my biggest mistake on holiday, and I should have tried it at the beginning of the holiday! A big thank you to Chris, Irene, Ivan, Jamal, Tevone and Max.
The only area where I think the hotel could improve in terms of families, particularly families with teenagers - and there were many of these towards the end of our stay - is to provide more activities to bring them together. We were one of three families who came together so our teens already had ready-made friends, and one of the Dads from our group did a fab job organising pool games in the afternoon, which many kids joined in with and new friendships were formed. Natasha was amazing at this during the previous two years, and quite rightly has been given a bigger role. The resort just needs to find a new Natasha to help bring the teens together so they don’t get bored. A pool table and table tennis table somewhere, as well as some board games etc, would be a great addition for older kids at the resort too, and help bring them together more.
Nonsuch Bay Resort is our favourite destination.
