The real draws to coco bay are the amazing beaches, the views and stunning grounds including the different pools. Perhaps the best I’ve seen from a hotel in the Caribbean. Sheer rocks on site too is a big plus which we love.

Food -
Breakfast was good. If you didn’t time it right you could be waiting quite a while for eggs which isn’t an ideal way to start the day but not the end of the world. Good selection of food all round.
Lunch was fine but a bit same-ish. There were some paninis available from the lower pool bar which was a nice touch if you got there in time.
Dinner - menu varied daily which was great but the quality also varied generally. Pretty good for all inclusive but I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant for guests coming in externally for example.

The rest -
Our room was nice, minimalist and clean. We had aircon - I understand this isn’t the case for all rooms. The view was partially obstructed but lovely nonetheless. The bathroom was pretty dated to say the least which caught us a bit off guard. I got the impression these are being renovated and being external bookers we may have ended up with one yet to be done - I could be wrong though.

On the subject of external bookers - I was a bit perplexed that we had to pay for WiFi given we booked through an agent where as those who book directly don’t.. Not a major factor that affected our stay of course but right from arrival I felt like we were “lesser” guests - from having to pay for WiFi to then paying extra for the additional items on the dinner menu . I’m sure coco bay have their reasons but nonetheless it did create a bit of a tiered system.

All in all, we had a lovely stay largely due to the location and grounds but it just wasn’t quite that 5/5 stay we had hoped for, for the reasons above.

From the time we arrived, until we left, the whole staff was amazing! Jeanine at the front desk, Jonathan our baggage handler, our guest room attendant (sorry I forgot her name), Kerry our server, made us feel very welcomed. We stayed in a waters edge cottage. The view was perfect. The plunge pool was a little cooler then what we would like, but we keep our pool at 90. The food was great.
Antigua as a whole was a great experience! Safe, clean, and everyone was very friendly.

Room tip: Water edge cottages were amazing!

My wife and I honeymooned here in June of 2015 and had a great time. The pools and beach were both phenomenal and the pina colads were some of the best mixed drinks I have ever had and I don't even like coconut. The lower pool on the way to the beach is where we spent most of our time as it was a little quieter, although we did get out to the plunge pool in front of the main pool early enough one day to claim it. That was the best spot on the resort. The biggest negative to the resort is the dining options. While they do a good job of mixing up what is made available each night, it is nice to have completely different options like you get at a Secrets or other All Inclusives. The rooms were simple but nice. We stayed in a hut with a private plunge pool, but found that we did not use it very often as it was completely in the shade most of the day which kept the pool water very cold. Overall, I would recommend Cocobay if you are looking for something a little more relaxed without much going on at the resort. It was perfect for our honeymoon where we did not really want interaction with other people.

Room tip: Get to the plunge pool below the main pool early to claim it for a morning/day

CoCoBay is everything we dreamed of for our honeymoon. The views, the cottages, the customer service is top notch. This was our honeymoon and it was absolute perfection. We stayed in the premium waterfront and the views were breathtaking. They cleaned our cottage everyday and made our stay wonderful. I have a severe peanut allergy and they accommodated me every meal.

We just came back from our honeymoon at Cocobay and had the best time! We stayed for a week in the beginning of July, which was perfect timing since it was just in time for Lobster season! (Look this up before you go if having Lobster is important to you!)

We booked directly through the resort, which I highly recommend since we had a bottle of liquor, sodas, a large water bottle, and beer ready for us in our mini fridge upon arrival at no extra charge. This was all replenished when requested. Booking directly also gave us the benefit of bonus dinner menu items like Lobster at no extra charge.

The resort is top notch - the pools / chairs are never crowded, always clean, and the service truly stood out as remarkable. Since the resort is small, many of the staff remember you and even your name, which makes the place feel like a home. Denise, who runs the restaurant staff is truly a gem. She always made a note to greet us by name when we entered for any meal, asked how our trip was going, and just made sure she was there if we needed anything. She even called us down from our initial table during our last dinner to make sure we had the best view for our last night at the hotel.

The resort is overall quiet, which we enjoyed being on our honeymoon - but in the evening they often have live music to create a nice relaxing, and fun ambiance. We booked a Deluxe Plunge Pool suite, which I recommend as we spent alot of time on our deck and around our pool. (Although it is a little cold!).
Other touches we loved were little private -ish areas (Small pools, cabanas, hammocks, etc), where - if you got there early, you could post up and feel like it's your own private place. Also, The 3-4 course Dinners were so romantic and definitely an integral part of what made our trip great.

A highlight of the trip was the Lobster Cruise! It's a 6 hour boat trip including 2 snorkeling stops, a very small but rewarding hike with a view, and the most delicious Lobster I have ever tasted! Glen grills an excellent Lobster, and his wife made the equally delicious sides!

Snorkeling itself is pretty good right off the beach and around the rocks of the resort, and we felt no need venturing out to see more (Other than the cruise).

On other thing to note is that we are a same sex couple, and were treated with the upmost respect and celebrated equally throughout our stay. Just something to note if you are gay and wondering!

A few other nice touches that we loved..
- When we came back from dinner one evening, they had set up rose petals and candles around our room for a romantic touch!
- A congratulations bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room with a note congratulating us on our honeymoon

We were sad to leave but definitely want to make a return trip one day! If you're considering this resort, don't hesitate! Our honeymoon week was truly a dream.
