Booked for 14 nights and we got an upgrade on the room, since there was a mixup. We got nice large room with pool view. Peaceful place and nice pool area. Friendly staff.
Nice view from restaurant, but beach area a bit small.
Near to good restaurants and beach bars.

Friendly staff who spoke good English, lovely views (of the beach and beautiful sunsets) good food and wine at the restaurant. Good quality for the price and a good location to explore the island from.

Located right on the beach, not too far from the local town center and night market, this resort should have a head start on many other hotels in Phu Quoc, but sadly it misses the mark! Whilst the staff are friendly enough, there seems to be a lack of motivation and understanding of the service levels required in a highly competitive tourism market. Communication is an issue for even the most basic items, e.g. "I would please like an omelette" (to the person who only cooks the eggs and serves soup at breakfast). Simple routines, in the restaurant, e.g. putting out salt/pepper shakers to all tables (there were none and mine supplied after request were moved to another table upon request), keeping food warming appliances lit (but really, sushi being heated demonstrates a total lack of understanding???), plugging in toasters, were all regularly overlooked. Similarly providing sufficient towels/cushions at the pool for guests was a major problem. Fortunately this establishment has at least one person who is prepared to step up to the plate and assist guests. His name is Ben and he is worth his weight in gold! Ben was the difference between me contemplating coming back or choosing another establishment for my next trip. I was not alone, as many other guests turned to him to fix up other shortcomings, so he was kept very busy. The swimming pool was good, security guard good, food good, service from most staff below average. Cleaning was not consistent or thorough! Although the room was reasonable they all require refurbishment and security safes. Construction in the area is problematic, but I accept it is beyond PBV control, but this means jack hammers at 7.30 am, which is only good if your alarm fails!!. The gravel track between construction sites to the resort is very unappealing! Would I go back?? .....not sure!!

Room tip: Go to Ben for quality service!

We stopped for 6 nights in January in a Executive Beach Front apt.
On arrival the entrance to the resort is via a dirt track which passes through the 2 large construction sites behind the Paris Beach, which was a little unnerving at first.
Once at the entrance we were greeted by security who took our bags & escorted us to reception.
Check in was swift & the girl took us to our room which was a recently upgraded room with very nice fittings. The trouble was it wasn’t what I would class as beachfront! It was set back around 50m from the beach & the door faced another bungalow. To see the beach meant sitting in the very edge of the terrace.
I told the young girl that I didn’t class this as beachfront & she quickly took us to apt 108 which was directly facing the sea & strip of sand. Although this room hadn’t been upgraded we decided the view over New was more important to us.
The room is very tired with a broken table ( please remove better to not be there) decor is stained & dirty and the sliding window doesn’t work properly so you almost have to lift it out to move. We had 1 hot shower during our stay which we were told was due to the solar heating system. There was gaps around the door which let in the usual holiday bugs so the mosquito net was a welcome find in the wardrobe.
Breakfast was the usual mix of eggs cooked to your liking Asian noddles,Pho & fresh fruit with plenty of coffee, tea & juice.
The restaurant is lovely and the strip of tables along the beach front makes a lovely setting day & night. We are a couple of times, and the food was very good price a little high by Vietnam standards with that annoying 10% tax & 5% service fee added on to everything ! Even if only grabbing a beer around the pool as the pool bar is shut !! We did unfortunately see a large Rat on the pass when returning late one evening which did put us off but it’s difficult to control with the construction sites leaving their mess strewn around.
The pool is nice & clean but again the beds & cushions need replacing aa there in a state of dis-repair.
The staff are Fantastic & along with the location are the stand out positives of this resort.
I would stay again but unfortunately wouldn’t be my first choice until the rooms are completely refurbished & the construction sites are completed (which doesn’t look to far away)

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and found it a very pleasant hotel with friendly staff and clean facilities and the hotel is well placed for restaurants and bars. HOWEVER, be warned it has a nightclub on the top floor of the hotel. The loud blaring music starts at 10 and increases in volume upto 2am together with flashing strobe lights which penetrate your room even with the curtains drawn!
This is such a shame as it's a very good hotel otherwise. We spoke to the manager about it and he was so apologetic about it but the owners refused to listen to his pleas to tone it down! We did go up there on a Saturday night and there were only about a dozen people there who were sat outside on the patio. A lovely view by the way, looking out to sea!
So, if disco noise doesn't bother you, then it's an excellent hotel.
