This hotel is divine. We found it by chance after fleeing a less than agreeable place nearby. We decided to leave that place and just pay for somewhere nicer nearby and we got more than we could have hoped for. The pool and gardens are beautiful, the room spacious and the hosts were delightful. And then for breakfast this morning after a swim, fresh figs, ricotta and honey. How perfect. Thank you to the owners Stefano and Deborah for our rescue.

Stefano and Debora who run this wonderful family hotel are the best, they really made us feel at home. We stayed in the top floor suite, room 7 and the view was fantastic. The hotel is very clean and quiet with a beautiful garden surrounding a nice sized pool. There are some spa services at the hotel (massage, sauna, gym) and a total of 11 rooms and off a quite street so very private. You can walk everywhere, the town has quite a few restaurants all good. Debora is a great baker, making fresh cakes in the morning. There is an excellent selection of baked goods, fresh fruit, yogurt, local ham and cheese, bread and coffee made to order.
The area has a lot to offer, some of the towns close to Saturnia pre-date the Romans. The hiking is fantastic and the waterfall is a must! But go early especially in season.
We are already planning our next trip and Villa Clodia will be part of it for sure!

Room tip: Room 7 has a balcony, is suite so larger and worth the extra cost. If not available the back rooms have the view.

Stefano and his wife were wonderfully accommodating and gracious. Upon my arrival, his wife insisted in hauling up my luggage to my room. He was also very informative in telling me the easiest way to walk to the Termes (30 min), and also recommending a delicious restaurant.

Their breakfast table was amazing - lots of home made cakes and jams in addition to fresh bread, prosciutto and cheeses. Also, he made freshly squeezed orange juice to order!

The location is convenient within the little town of Saturnia. There is free parking nearby by the park.

I would recommend this place to anyone as the hosts were so kind and sweet. They even allowed me to come by in the afternoon to use the shower after I had already checked out. (Stefano was concerned that the showers at the thermal springs were not clean enough.)

It's places like this that make me really appreciate being in Italy where many of the people are so gracious and reasonable.

We stayed for two days and had a fantastic stay. Would recommend this place for people searching for a quiet, comfortable place with stunning view and a fantastic garden with a pool. The two owners are very friendly and warm and made sure we had everything we needed. Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood in the small pittoresque town Saturnia. A perfect start for our roadtrip!

(We stayed in room number 8 with a balcony overlooking the entire valley below. Beautiful view!)

We did not have any hotel reservation for Saturnia so parked our car and walked the town. When we saw Hotel Clodia we knew instantly that we wanted to stay here. The owner was at the front desk and greeted us warmly and professionally. He speaks very good English. Our room was very comfortable....large with an outdoor view of the hillside. They were very gracious hosts, allowing us to take towels to the sulfur baths nearby. You can see and feel the pride and care they take in tending to this lovely place. Breakfast is a treat, serving homemade cakes, marmalades and jams. If you are in or near Saturnia, suggest you stay at this lovely hotel.
