We spent a lovely few days here last week, the weather was variable but the house is so comfortable it didn't really matter. The view down the loch from the dining area is spectacular and really relaxing. Everything is here, we were a small group of older people but I think for children and larger families it would be bliss, very safe large rambling garden and lots to do in the house, they have thought of everything. The track had recently, two days before! Been tarmacced and was lovely to drive on, I had had visions of a rutted farm track but it was really good. The only thing I could fault was a slightly disconcerting noise when flushing the downstairs loo, don't do it at night unless you want to wake the house up! All in all a great experience and highly recommended. The manager Kirsty was superb too, great communications and house instructions.

Our party of five adults, four children, and one dog had a marvellous time here. The house is beautifully designed, with a large open plan living space that was perfect for our family get-together. The view of Loch Craignish from the house is stunning, and changes constantly with the weather. And for the days when the weather was not so good, a log fire soon had everyone feeling cosy.

Loved staying at house, big space for large groups. second time staying and hopefully many more. There has been an upstairs bathroom put in which is lovely and was well needed. The house is in the most perfect setting. Downstairs bathroom in need of serious upgrade - none of us used this., En-suite is ok but is looking tired and needs upgraded. Rugs are tired and need replaced if not removed (that said there was a new living room carpet being fitted as we left) however rugs still smell of dogs. Utility cupboards need organising and dry foods need to be thrown away for guests arriving as it is not nice on arriving to see old goods in cupboards out of date. fridge shelves should be wiped down for guests arriving, silly things like washing machine drawer all blocked up , and some of the outside drains blocked. in general some of the house needs a deeper clean, that said I am particularly fussy. However I would most definently go back again, and would still recommend to my fussiest of friends the house is beautiful and has big stunning windows creating a lot of light The manager Kirsty was professional to deal with and was extremely kind to allow us to come and go with times of arrival and departure.

We stayed on the cottage for my dad's 60th birthday and it was just the perfect place to celebrate. The cottage itself is amazing very warm, comfortable and has everything you could ever possibly need. The view is also very special! We were very lucky with the weather for October so managed to spend an afternoon in the garden which was lovely.
The open plan layout inside is perfect for large groups/parties as even the person cooking didnt feel left out. It is also large enough so that you do not all feel on top of each other. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, we cooked a huge joint of beef along with all the trimmings!
The bedrooms are also very comfortable and the three bathrooms are very handy with a larger group.
We could not fault this cottage at all!!! Absolutly perfect!
We spent a week in Drumalban with 3 adults and 5 kids aged 2, 4, 11 and 13. All of us loved it!
My heart was conquered as soon as I opened the door to the house for the first time and an amazing view over the bay and the surrounding hills opened up in front of my eyes from dining room glass doors.
As for the rest, the house was perfect. The bedrooms were nice and spacious and the kitchen extremely well equipped (with even a bread maker!). There is no mobile coverage in the house, but the wireless network works very well... to the delight of our two almost teenage girls.
For the little ones there were all sorts of toys for indoors and outdoors.
The walk into the centre of the village is relatively long (approx. 10 mins for an adult... but more than 20 if you're walking with two four-year-olds!), but that meant that we were surrounded by nature and nothing else. The kids could run around safely outside because there was no through traffic.
As for our landlady, Kirsty, she was lovely and extremely helpful, always available for any question and ready to give us advice about the sights and activities in the area.
Our visit coincided with the Craignish Arts Festival at the beginning of August, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. It was great to visit all the home exhibitions and get a feel of the vibrant and creative Ardfern community.
We would definitely go back and hope to be able to do so in 2 years time!
Thanks very much for everything, Kirsty!
