We had a few days off here in the forests of Franconia. The ski season had just ended and the summer season hadn't yet started, so it was extremely quiet. The hotel is located slightly off from the "center" of the village, but still fully accessible by foot. The service in the hotel was friendly and quite personal, thanks to the low occupancy. The dining offered by the hotel was of quite high quality considering that it's a village hotel, and the main courses were really tasty (ok, the desserts were not always so successful). The hotel has a pool and a sauna available for the guests, which is nice. Sadly our hikes took often too long and we had to hurry to make it to the dinner.
The rooms, well, it seems that they were renovated not too long ago, but still the age starts to show. Furthermore, the solution of the walk-through toilet/bath with a glass door is not necessarily the most aesthetic.More
