Whether you go to the Med or the Caribbean for your holiday this is the casual beach side spot you hope to find. Simply food, perfectly BBQ’d, cheap drinks, great atmosphere. What more could one ask?
We stayed at Little Arches so this was walking distance down the beach for us and we enjoyed our first visit so much we returned twice more during our week. Each time smiling Roger looked after us and we had great service from the rest of the crew as well. We enjoyed mixing with the locals and fellow holidaymakers alike, and the music drifting across from the nearby stage was just right, setting the atmosphere without being deafening. Including quite a few drinks we spent about $60Bds (£20) per night for two people. Tip: buy a ”flask” of rum, scotch, or whatever. It contains about 4 English pub doubles and come much cheaper than ordering it a tot a time. They will serve you a bowl of ice with it.

Food was good. We had a brilliant evening. Visited 4 times and consistent.I can't eat fish but that isn't a problem. Husband has tried nearly all the fish now and he says they are really nice. Overall really good. Michelle and Roger have been really helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone, we did try others but not as good.

Well what can I say.

The food here is excellent as well as the quantity, quality, price and service.

You pay around $25 for a meal which is well worth it based on the fact that you can receive up to 3 steaks of fish along with your choice of carbs and salad. The Marlin fish is nice along with the Dolphin fish (WHICH IS NOT FLIPPER THE DOLPHIN. FOR THE READERS WHO ARE NOT AWARE OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FISH FOUND IN BARBADOS)

The ribs cost $15 which were massive, deep fried, which was different and tasty.

Ricky was our server each time we went to Oistins and he is the face and personality that you need for front of house serving. Especially in comparison to some of the poor customer service you do get elsewhere on the island.

The restaurant owners provide samples of fish for you to try which is good business sense and there is also free WIFI, which is rare in Barbados unless you go into a shopping area or bank..

See you in 4 years, never mind the Barbados economy.

We visited Chillin & Grillin as it had a good review on TripAdvisor and knew that the fish market area was a Bajan attraction. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the place was definitely had a market feel. The food however was just ok, the fish when raw was probably fresh and excellent, however it was rather ordinary tasting. It seemed as if they seasoned it with what they would stew fish in, but instead put it on the grill. The other items were similarly ordinary.

Me and my wife came here on a Saturday night and were very please with it. We're not big fish eaters but we wanted to try some local food before we left barbados.
Our waiter was very good and explained the kind of fish and what there tastes were like. Me and my wife ordered a platter to share but the only reason that this isn't getting 5 stars was the presentation of it.
We ordered sweet potatoes and coleslaw with it and it was just all piled up on the plate. One on top of another, don't no whether I'm being pedantic or not but that was the only let down, other than that highly recommend the food was great!!
