After reading some of the reviews online regarding Disney Land Paris, particularly with regards to people stealing prams and lengthy check ins I was dreading this break. However, I have to say it was the most amazing trip and our 4 year old daughter loved it from start to finish.
We arrived at the hotel at around 11am and the reception area was extremely busy... oh no my worst nightmares were coming true and I had read that many people upgrade to compass club to avoid the check in queue...however this was not needed. Yes, only one person from your family can queue but this does make the process simpler. I was handed our paper work mid way and before I had filled it out I was at the front desk. This process took about 15 mins max. Our room wasn't ready so we handed our luggage to a storage room with a disc which we exchanged later on no problem.
The hotels and parks are really safe. You are scanned at the front entrance of the hotel and before the Disney village- bags are also x rayed.
Our standard room was lovely and clean, not too warm and had two double beds. Not many channels on TV but then again we were hardly ever in the room and weren't there for the TV.
We opted for half board which I think was the best option. It is a full breakfast buffet with healthy and not so healthy options. I did take snacks in our case for during the day for our daughter. We did also make up a few sandwiches from the breakfast buffet for during the day...other people seemed to be doing this too.
The evening food was a very pleasant surprise. Always a good selection of meat, fish, vegetables and salad. The desserts are a kids heaven..cornetto ice creams, sweets and one evening they had a chocolate tower.
We did go swimming one morning which was a nice break from the park. The pool was great with floats and toys for the kids.
After reading some horror stories online about prams getting pinched from outside rides and people locking prams to railings, I did buy a £60 cheap stroller before we went. The stroller did the job fine, didnt get pinched and we never saw anything like this going on.
The overall experience was fantastic and worth every penny to see my daughters face with the princesses. I would say Disney Paris is mainly for the under 10's as I think older ones might get bored. It was absolutely perfect for my 4 year old.
Another tip is to take costumes/dresses for children before you go and take them with you. A lot of the children wear them around the park and they are 70 euros to buy there.
The highlight of the trip was the fireworks at night. We went back to the hotel for tea at around 6pm, got her into her pjs, wrapped her up then walked back. They were a once in a lifetime experience. Just to add to that, the park is really close to the hotel, just a 10 minute walk. Overall, a wonderful family break and many memories were made.

This is an excellent disney hotel. We came as a family (4 adults), for a total of six days. We booked in the compass club. I would highly recommend anyone considering paying extra for the compasss club, to do so.

The hotel is a 5-7 minute walk away from disney village and a 15 minute walk away from Disney's Hollywood studios and Disneyland Park. There is also a shuttle bus directly outside the hotel which takes about 5 minutes to get to the disneyland parks. The shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes.

If you are part of the compass club, you check in at the compass club lounge. This is a separate check in area to the rest of the guests at the hotel. I was greeted warmly by Christian, who took his time out to go into detail to explain my food vouchers, my rights as a compassclub member and the services of the hotel. His customer service was simply superb and gave us a excellent start and welcome to our holiday!

As a compass club member, you have access to the compass club room. You can have your breakfast in the room from 7am-11am and every day from 4pm to 4:45pm, you can go into the room to have snacks. Also from 12pm to 10pm every day, you can go into the room to have tea/coffee and soft drinks for free. It is a lovley extra to have, and a nice place to retire to when you want a break from the parks. All the staff in the compass club room are friendly and attentive.

The hotel has been recently refurbished and it looks very nice and modern. There is a gym, sauna and hammam for one to use. Characters visit the hotel from 8:15am in the morning. However, I would recommend one to arrrive early, as the queue gets busy!

Hotel fastpasses can be used all day in the parks, apart from 1-4pm. I personally found this very irritating. A word of note, fastpasses are not available all day in the parks. You have to arrive early. The fastpass booths are available for approximatley 3 hours (normamlly 10am to 1pm). They then close and you cannot then get a fast pass. Therefore, the fact that you then have to wait until 4pm to use your hotel fastpass, is annoying.

Also, please note that the fastpass kiosks are NOT open when the park opens early during magic hours (8:30am-10am). The fastpasskiosks are open at 10am. Therefore, if you get to the park early, you cannot get your fastpass quickly and earlier than the general public. However, these comments pertain to the disney experience and not the hotel. Overall, a great disney hotel which is great value

Location wise very convenient as its only 10 min pleasant walk to Disney Parks. No kettle and complimentary tea bags etc. in the room for non compass club guests. Shower gel etc. not refilled automatically.

This was our 20th ish visit and we went specifically for Halloween but apart from frontierland and the village there was no other Halloween decorations anywhere, very disappointed to say the least, had no complaints in the past but this time considering we paid in excess of £2000 for our family visit it was far from what we had expected, also the park was advertised to close at 8pm so why at 7pm was everyone moved on from some areas, I appreciate that they were Germany for fireworks and night time show but don't then say it's 8pm close as we were separated from some of our family members who were waiting for us in fantasyland and then couldn't get back to them so had to leave the park and meet back at the hotel, we approached 2 very unhelpful cast members waving light up batons who didn't really care, worst visit by far seeing as the Halloween event is advertised from October 1st for a month there wasn't much Halloween things going on, in the past there has been massive pumpkins, hair and make up, huge displays so where were they all?, all n all we didn't get what we paid for!!

We took we took the train from Ebbsfleet direct to Disney land. So easy and stress free. Disney staff meet you on the train and go through the luggage process again very easy they give you tags for your bags and when you arrive you drop them at the Disney counter in the station and they take them to your hotel leaving you free to go straight to the parks for fun. You collect your bags outside your hotel then go to check in. When you check out you drop the bags outside the front of the hotel and collect them back at the station. The room itself was large enough for the two of us and a really large bed bathroom was fine overhead shower and separate area for the sink and to hang your clothes. Only downside to our room was it was a joining room and the people next door kids kept trying to open the door into our room. Not that they could as it is locked from outside but it was noisy only complaint about the room or the hotel. The parks are great lots of characters meet and greets and fun rides. Got to say the following rides in Paris are better than the ones in Walt Disney World. Pirates of the Caribbean. Big thunder mountain. Hyperspace Mountain. And loved Ratatouille they really should have this ride in Florida. Rides that are the same Star Tours although all in French. Tower of terror, Rock n Rollercoaster. Food was expensive don't think the hot dogs in casey's corner was worth over 30 euros for two hot dogs fries and two cokes! And they are no where near as big or as nices as the ones in Florida. Disney village had lots of restaurants and a few bars again very high prices. But hey your in Disney. Hotel room was clean and they had a little shop that you could get bottles of water or soft drinks and even a can of beer. But again very expensive two cans of beer a bottle of water and two bottles of coke over 20 euros. The Wild West show was ace food was good and the show was a blast lots of Disney characters and a fun show. All in all would definitely return to Disney land Paris had a really good five days.
