This was our second visit to Suvereto - we took my parents on this trip as we wanted them to see old Italy.

The place did not let us down and they were taken with the charm that oozes out of Suvereto. They loved the narrow streets, the traditional shops and the friendliness of the place. All the things that had made us want to come back.

Plenty of cafe's, enteca's or Osteria's for the thirsty & hungry to choose from.

The views from the upper parts of the town are amazing.

This really is worth a visit.

People are so friendly and welcoming. Such an unusual and interesting place with lovely views. We stayed in the old convent and the accommodations are extraordinary.

Suvereto is another one of the Maremma's charming hill towns best visited when combining it with the magnificent Petra winery 10 minutes outside of its walls. It is a small medieval city, not as important historically as Volterra or Siena to the north. However, walking its streets and alleyways as we did will bring you back in time - and you can do it at your own pace since few visitors every come here.

Just beautiful. Endless little streets and alleys, acres of charm, great bars and restaurants. Bury me there.
