We stayed here in Dec/Jan, and liked the convenience to Fisherman's Village and the beach just across the way. The pictures made it look nicer than it was. The room was fine, and I really liked the cute little balcony. However, the bathroom was not clean with hair all over the floor. I liked that you could bring your own lock for the outside once you left the room. This was really helpful as we actually spent one night at a different hotel on Koh Phangan for the Full Moon Party, but liked being able to keep our luggage here for when we came back the next day. The owners and staff were very nice and friendly. We didn't have time to check out the downstairs bar area, but looked like a fun place to hang out. They were very responsive by email before our arrival to help answer questions, etc. I felt really bad when we arrived because we had arranged a taxi to pick us up but our flight was delayed. We e-mailed to let them know but there must have been some sort of miscommunication and the driver couldn't find us. Leaving for the airport though, we booked a taxi again and it was seamless.

I came to visit my mum on Koh Tao and flew in to samui, Dave from cocooning organised a taxi transfer to the hotel which was on time, took me straight there, I was greeted by a lovely lady who showed me my room and also gave me my ticket for the morning ferry, and arranged a taxi transfer to the ferry port in the morning, the room was great, no mozzies!!! Had a great nights sleep, very quiet, no noise from any bars or clubs. I would highly recommend this place, so well organised. Thanks again cocooning.

Me and my husband stayed here quite a few time when we came to samui. The hotel just located in the best location of fisherman's village where there was a walking street every week. And also there were a lot of restaurants around that u can go to eat. The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really recommend to stay here if you wanted to stay in fisherman's village and not too expensive.

As regulars to Samui we never miss a Friday night down at Fishermans Village for the walking street evening market.
Owned by Dave 🇬🇧 and wife Teresa 🇸🇪 this is a great base to stay on Samui, there’s nothing that Dave, previously a dive instructor on Koh Tao can’t help with or advise on, ensuring you get the best out of your trip to Samui be it on a budget or splashing the cash. Friday nights are great here in the bar, a meeting hub for many an expat now residing on this beautiful island.
My name for Dave is Huggy Bear, as he always knows ‘what’s going down on the street’ 👌

This was a great find in Fisherman's Village, popped in for a drink one Friday night and got talking to the owner, Dave, who turned out to be the oracle on what's happening around Koh Samui. We followed several of his recommendations and were not disappointed. He recommended Chez Francois's restaurant and booked us in at short notice and this ranks as one of our best dining experiences. If you're in Fisherman's village on a Friday night when the market is on, pop in for a drink and I'm sure Dave will be glad to share his Samui knowledge.
