Just an amazing place! Staff was super friendly and helpful, breakfast is truly the best I ever had in Samui.
The beach is clean and beautiful.
If you rent a motorbike you can get to Chaweng in 10-15 min and to the fishermen village also will take you around 15 min.
Just take into account that depending on the room you are staying in you might have a bit of a walk up (stairs) to your room.

Definitely that's my home in Samui

We stayed for just a couple of nights to cap off our week on Koh Samui. We wish we had some sooner. To echo other reviews, the staff and service here are superb - seem genuinely happy to help you and make you feel comfortable. They really make the place special. Our small villa was up on the hill and seemed secluded and in nature. It was very comfortable and lovely to come back to at the end of the day. We loved how they made the resort conform to the nature of the hill - lush vegetation, birds, lizards, and yes, insects abound. We did have mosquitoes on our balcony, but they were not a problem in our room. If you don't want to deal with mosquitoes, then don't come to a tropical jungle island. We saw them everywhere on the island we went, and you just deal with them. As noted by others, the resort is not walking distance to other restaurants, so if looking to eat at a variety of places, it could get pricey to get taxis all the time. They do have bikes available to rent, should you want to try that. We ate at the main restaurant both nights and were not disappointed. Excellent Thai food. A bit pricier than some other places we ate at on the island, but you are at a resort, afterall. Breakfast was excellent - a mix of buffet style and made to order food. The adult pool was quiet and relaxing with great views from the hill. Yes, the beach is not the white sands of your dreams, but I certainly did not get my feet cut. The ocean water does have seaweed floating in it, but it's not like you will get caught in it. Overall, the experience of having your own private beach overcomes the fact that it's not the nicest beach in the world. The main pool was very warm and very nice. They had paddle boards, sailboats, and kayaks available complimentary. Also, we loved the free drinks with happy hour on the beach on Monday with great local band playing. Overall, this is an absolutely lovely place to stay. If you are looking for the classic tropical mega-resort that has tamed nature and makes it feel like you could be on any beach, anywhere, you should look elsewhere. If you are looking for a quiet, family-friendly, well-run, well-staffed, well-kept resort with intact beautiful local environment, you must stay here. We hope to return again some day.

Wow, what can I say . Searched and searched for Honeymoon destination and kept coming back to this one and one day just went for it..............best decision I made.

I won’t go on but please trust me, this is a magical destination set on beautiful surroundings with a private Beach and you certainly get effortless 5 star treatment , well, they make it look effortless anyway .

Can not fault this hotel. The staff are ALL brilliant, the gardeners, cleaners, chefs bar staff, managers etc etc can not do enough for you and are always smiling.

Just a quick Mention to Jack, James, Toon, Mike and Torn to name a few who were so helpful and fun down at the bar.

They concocted a new cocktail called the ‘Tongsai Classic’ which was amazing and a sure winner for this month, you must try it.

I can not say ,enough about Tongsai bay and would recommend it to anyone .

Thanks for making our honeymoon magical and we will be back next year for definite.

We have just returned from this exceptional resort, a hotel of the finest location, standards of service and it is, put simply, outstanding.

It has a private bay and beach, teo swimming pools, one reserved for the adults, three great restaurants and staff that are an absolute privilege to come into contact with.

We stayed in the family cottage, room 320, right at the top of the hill overlooking the fantastic bay beneath. We’ve stated previously in another room, and both are authentically teal and Thai.

We can’t wait to visit again and we urge anyone looking for accommodation on this island and looking for this general location, not to go past this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Special mention to the phenomenal staff. We’re asked on departure to name three staff members who, in our opinion, made our stay better. We got to 15 and could have gone on ... Mark, Martin and team: if you do read this, thank you.

My husband and I traveled to Koh Samui on our honeymoon in mid-December 2017, and we couldn't be happier with our hotel choice! The Tongsai Bay has wonderful privacy, nestled within its own private bay surrounded by beautiful hills and lush green landscape.

We originally booked a Tongsai Pool Villa, but received an upgrade to the Akorn Villa upon check-in. We were so impressed by their level of hospitality and service!

We couldn't believe the gorgeous sea view from our private terrace, which had its own pool, an open air tub, a four-poster gazebo, and two lounge chairs. We literally lounged for a half-hour before checking out the rest of the Villa. Entering the main bedroom, we were greeted by a beautiful display of petals arranged on our bed and well-wishes for our honeymoon.

My husband and I really enjoyed the fresh breakfast buffet each morning, with a great variety of options to choose from. His favorite was the Tongsai Eggs Benedict. Yum!

If we ever make a trip back to Thailand, we hope to stay at The Tongsai Bay again. It was an absolute dream come true!
