Went to Friday night street markets, great shopping and chance to try local foods off street vendors! Different items on sale that we didn't see in shops...worth the trip, we spent over 3 hours just walking along the streets!

We went to the Friday night market and it was very good. I was expecting lots of fake bags, t shirts etc but instead there were local handicrafts, jewellery and even a stall selling fried locusts. Very busy but good fun
What a surprise! We expected just the usual street market, but this was a real step up. Entertainment galore, food and shopping bargains, exceptional value Mojitos. Dont miss it - Friday nights :)
Fabulous restaurants and shops and a really great beach. Not crazy with bars and clubs like Chaweng is. The street markets on a Friday night are fun, lots of brilliant street food and other stalls. The beach is deep and clear of rocks. Plenty of restaurants have tables set up on the beach in the evening. Would be a great place to stay.
The Fisherman's Village night market offers lots of variety in terms of food, drinks and hand made souvenirs. Choices are great but they are a big pricey.
You'll be hard pressed to find fresher food than that available in restaurants in Bophut. A quaint village with tons of art shops, t-shirt stores and suit makers, its most valuable attribute has to be the food. We ate at Happy Elephant on the Beach twice because we liked it so much. The barracuda fish fingers were delish!
