Amazing hotel

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 16 Feb 2013via mobile
Loved my stay here, staff were very friendly and we booked into the beachfront room which was worth the extra money for the view alone . It's very quiet in this resort so if you want something more lively I'd recommend choweng beach. Other than that we had a great stay and would recommend to anybody

We decided to go with what we know when we returned to Samui after 2 years, although it's always a bit worrying that you might not find it as you remembered...... in this case it was just as good, if not better than we remembered.
The location was perfect for us as it is in a quieter part of Samui without all the clap trap of Chaweng and all its horrible offerings, close to the airport but not disruptive by passing flights and right on the beach front.
The rooms are lovely, clean and tastefully decorated, our bed was extremely comfortable and we had superb sleep quality. The gardens are beautifully cared for and the beach in front of the resort is kept constantly clean by a member of the resort team. Again, the thing that we loved the most was the management of Yaniv and the way he effortlessly makes sure that you are happy, well looked after and makes you feel that no request or question is too much trouble. The other great thing for us to see was that the same team members were still working there from two years ago - that speaks volumes about the management! We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Samui and very highly recommend this place, in fact, we always do!

We spent one night at Samui pier resort before heading to Ko Tao. The room was a standard room which was fine for one night but quite small and no outlook so would recommend paying extra for one of the beachfront rooms if staying any longer-these had glass fronts and were well spaced out in between the various seating, hammocks and tables around the resort which spread onto the beach area which seemed to be private. The owner of the resort was very helpful in trying to arrange a free transfer for us to the pier where our boat was leaving from the next day and mingled with the guests in a friendly manner to check that all their needs were catered for. The hotel isn't really in the centre of bophut and although there are a few restaurants and bars nearby if you wanted to stay in the fishermans village of bophut this is about 5 to 10 mins by taxi away.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days over Christmas. It was a beautiful beachfront. We loved the huts looking out at the ocean. It was great for swimming and relaxing. The food at the hotel was delicious. We ate there for most of our meals. The owner of the hotel was fantastic - very eager to please. Take your insect repellent - the sliding door wasn't flush with the door jamb, so bugs could get in. The shower was great. We were expecting the family room to have a living space, but it didn't so we were a little crowded with the other couple - they had to walk through our bedroom to use the bathroom. Also good to note that you can't flush toilet paper - we weren't told when we checked in and it caused problems on our first day. We were a short taxi ride to Chawang, which is where the action is. If you want to be right in the action, this hotel is a little out of the way, but we liked the quieter atmosphere.

Room tip: Ask for villa 38 or 39 - they are closest to the beach with the best view

Didn't stay at this hotel but visited a couple of times for meals and made chatted to the owner, Yaniv, really nice guy from SA. Yaniv was kind enough to show us around and let us view one of the rooms, really lovely. Food at the resort is excellent especially the fried spare ribs, yummy. Will definitely stay at this resort when next on Samui. Thanks Yaniv.

Room tip: Beach front rooms are awesome, what a view.

Stayed here in July 2012 for 3 nights

Rooms: The rooms were very well appointed and modern. By far the most "western style" rooms I stayed in on the islands. Comfortable beds, large well appointed bedroom and washroom, hot showers.

Location: The location here isn't bad, a short hike into the main party area of Chaweng. It tends to be quite a bit quieter in this area than in the busier parts of town. It's about 100-150 bht to get a ride into Chaweng.

Amenities: There is a pool although it is quite small. The beach here isn't as nice as other resorts, and being the "Pier" resort it is quite near a pier. The view of the sunset from this hotel is quite nice. The hotel restaurant is good although a bit on the pricy side. There is a phenomenal restaurant next door (Turn left when you walk out) that is owned by an Australian guy.

Staff: The staff were very kind, they helped us book our ride to the ferry and were extremely helpful. Everyone seemed concerned with our well-being and enjoyment.

Overall: The location here is good if you're looking for something a bit quieter. If you came for the pool or the beach I'd stay away, the pool was small and beach wasn't the nicest. The rooms are very nice and offer a more western style (Almost like a Holiday Inn or Best Western). I see a lot of other reviewers used it as a jumping off point to the FMP. I can't comment since I stayed on Phangan for the party proper.

Room tip: The second floor room furthest from the front desk has a great balcony and view of the sunset.
