If you like: rest, real clean apartment, friendly staff, being alone at the pool, no "towel reservation" and really relaxing? Then this is your hotel... it has it all! The only addition you need is a car for transportation (if you want to make some tours and/or in the evenings if you want to eat at some nice and cosy taverna's).
Most of the people are going to the beach during the day and/or making day trips. So if you stay at the pool during the day you might have a private pool ;-)
If you rent a car it takes approximately 20 minutes to get to Rethimnon and 35 minutes to Chania. It is advisable to fly from and to Chania (Heraklion takes about 2+ hours bus drive).
Many people (families and couples) that came here got addicted to this hotel and are returning to this oasis of rest and peace frequently!

Great place for families and travelers who don't need parties every night. Service personnel is friendly and competent. The compound is situated in a nice olive garden, has a great pool and nice and clean studios. When we arrived our 10-year-old kid connected to the other kids within a day and we literally met him only occasionally until we left. There is a lot of safe space for the little ones, thus even more space for the grownups to relax and enjoy. Would we recommend this place? Certainly we would!

My wife Caroline and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Crete. One of the reasons for having such a wonderful holiday was our stay at the Vardis Olive Garden. Set in a quiet location with absolutely stunning views. The hotel is spotless in every area. The rooms are spacious with a small balcony. Throughout the complex there are many plants, flowers, palm trees and orange trees adding a unique and pleasant touch to the surroundings. The staff are unbelievably amazing, they always greet you with a smile and are always prepared to give that little bit extra making you feel welcome. A special mention must go to Kostas....an absolute gentleman. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday away from the mainstream hotels. This is the one for you. I highly recommend this hotel and would very much like to return some day.

If you are looking for a relaxed and very pleasant location to visit the west of Crete, you should go to Vardis Olive Garden. Vardis is located at some distance (5 minutes drive by car) from the beaches and the town of Georgioupoli.
It has all you need for a great stay: nice, clean, well-kept and spacious apartments with a terrace or balcony and more than half of them with a view on the olive garden and the White Mountains. To relax, read, refresh and enjoy the sun the swimming pool and terraces provide a pleasant and again very clean opportunity, surrounded by flowers, palm trees and the olive trees. Breakfasts and dinners are provided as buffets (diners are also possible 'a la carte') and show a continued variation of Cretan and European dishes.
The most pleasant part however are the people of the hotel doing anything they can to make your stay a good one.
We have tried hard to think of any possible improvements. Despite our vast experience however we could not think of even one.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms on the south side have full view on the olive garden and the White Mountains. Our room (number 113) had all of this.
