Visited with family over Easter. The ladies in reception were very friendly and took the time to make us feel very welcome. The heavy rain had made wellies a must as the park was very very muddy and there are lots of workmen and machinery on the site. There is lots of building work going on at the back of the site so if your caravan is situated in this area you will not get a lay in as work starts early. The lodges look very nice and our gold caravan was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Nice touch to find a kitchen welcome pack containing washing up liquid, a cloth and sponge and loo roll already in the toilet. There are local shops with a Tesco and Waitrose in Saxmundham which is a short drive away.
Not a lot to do on site for kids unless you are into fishing (the lakes are beautiful). The outdoor pool was empty (not the season for it anyway) the play area is for young children and there is a tennis court available. The gym is quite well equipped and is for age 16 and over. We ate at the clubhouse the first night but chose to eat out for the rest of our stay.
This will be a lovely site once the works are complete and the indoor pool added but sadly for us, our children were bored.More
