I should start by saying we were given a deal on our 3 night stay of 50 euro per night. The hotel is typically Italian and the setting has charm and the reception area in smart casual. Our first impression upon entering was how cold it was. Unfortunately that heating issue never improved.
Firstly the lift didn't work and we were placed on the second floor. So up stairs we struggled with bags and cases although the desk guy did help.
Our room was freezing so we noted the radiators but they were cold. There was a ac unit so on it went in fortunately although we left it full on for three nights and four days it only took the chill off. The room was basic but we thought for 50euro it's fine. However we never had hot water for all our stay despite repeatedly asking for something to be done. The shower rose kept falling of the sliding rail. The towels were paper thin. The toilet was filthy I believe it had never been cleaned. The pillows were like blocks of wood.
The lift didn't work because it had been jemmied open probably to evacuate some poor soul who was escaping. The corridors were always in darkness to save power?
Oh and the croissants at breakfast were so stale they almost broke my teeth.
Bottom line don't book!More
