We booked this hotel by pure luck.Off the next morning to Pembroke, Irish Ferries...Just off the main road to Rosslare. Driving down the drive was impressive, so was the welcome,, room,, breakfast,,the hotel itself...The castle tower was well worth climbing a few stairs for the view...Quirky, "You will have a cooked breakfast, and you wont miss your ferry, Irish or Stenna"
Just book it you wont regret it...John, Lucy, James...Enjoy...

Stayed: August 2017

If you want stay somewhere other than a hotel this is the place. Very clean, beautiful room in the main house overlooking fields full of cows. Great garden to relax in
But the best part is in the morning the breakfast, selection of good food, local sourced served in a lovely small dining room setting . Loved the welcome from the dogs and the honesty box

Room Tip: In the main house

The hotel is built into an old castle and is a working farm. The grounds are beautiful, though the "farm walk" is less than a walk. Our room was cozy, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom nicely appointed. One warning, the tubs are a bit slippery.

The sitting room is a bit musty in that old room way that is charming. There is an honor bar and then a separate area for coffee, tea and cookies.

Breakfast was delicious.

Dear alison d,

Thank you for your review of your stay with us.

Delighted that you enjoyed the grounds and the cozy bedrooms. There are bath matts in the bathrooms to use so you don't slip in the baths.
Glad you enjoyed the breakfast too.

Regards,
Paul.

Loved this place, it was really magical. The owners/staff were really nice and down to earth but their attention to detail was unquestionable. The breakfast was to die for, the rooms were spotless, spacious and furnished to perfection. There were little areas dotted throughout the house to sit and read the many books provided. Loved the little touches like the homemade biscuits that accompanied tea/coffee which were freely available at all times. The woodland walk & farm areas were great too. And the view from the old castle roof was wonderful. My only complaint is I didn't get to stay here for longer, two nights was just not enough. A must see if you have an appreciation of heritage. Definitely ear marked for a return trip

We have visited before but this time stayed in the main house as B and B guests having stayed in the self catering apartments a couple of years ago. We were welcomed on arrival by the lovely Kathleen who was so friendly and delightful. Our room was superb.... the bed enormous and everything was absolutely spotless! Breakfast was cooked to absolute perfection. The sausages and bacon were top quality and nothing was too much trouble. The homemade scones were still warm and the soda bread equally delicious. Paul was an extremely attentive host without being intrusive and he made sure coffee was refilled and that we had everything we needed.
We had the opportunity to explore the grounds before leaving and they did not disappoint. Loved listening to the chickens clucking contentedly in their coop and watching the swallows swoop and dive over the castle too. The flowers in the garden were beautiful and obviously someone works very hard keeping it in pristine condition.
We would highly recommend staying here as we both felt at home and that we were valued guests. Thank you so much Kathleen and Paul. When we come back to Ireland in the future we will definitely be staying with you again and will recommend you to our friends and family.
