Good, clean, spacious accommodation with a little, well resourced kitchen. the Hideaway is set in lovely gardens, with a small pool, and located right on a sandy beach. A minutes walk across the stream and garden brings you to the main road and a nearby bus stop for the wonderful Cook's Bus Service which goes both anticlockwise and clockwise and gets you to town in about twenty minutes anticlockwise and about 40 minutes clockwise. there are local shops and restaurants and the night market which is mainly food stalls for eating at the market or taking away, is several nights a week.

Our accommodation was kept very clean by the chambermaid.

The bungalow nearest the beach would give you the very best view.

Kia Orana!

Thank you so much for your lovely review!

It is true that we are well located along what is arguably the best area on Rarotonga and close to all amenities. I'm so glad your bungalow met all expectations and Ofelia our Senior Housekeeper is excellent at making sure everything is clean when servicing. It's great to hear you were taking advantage of our local bus service during your stay and we are proud of our Muri Night Market for providing yummy island food to both local and vistors alike (not great for the waistline though - lol).

As an 100% locally owned and operated family business we take pride in our small piece of paradise and love sharing our wonderful lifestyle and culture with all who stay with us.
For those who have holidayed with us in the past we offer a 15% discount on their next vacation when you book direct on our website.

Your feedback is so important for our growth and again I thank you.

Kia Manuia!

We had a wonderful holiday here. Vina is a very warm, welcoming person who goes the extra mile to provide a wonderful experience. This includes thoughtful additions like fresh fruit, a smoothie maker and mosquito coils. We loved the spacious, private rooms, along with the pool, snorkelling gear, kayaks and deck chairs. The bungalows are exceptionally clean and we really appreciated the daily service.
The location was also very good - right on the beach, and close to the night market, fresh coffee and bakery, hotels and the all important cocktails.
We highly recommend staying here and would definitely return. Thanks Vina. You're a treasure.

Room Tip: The lotus rooms were great. More private than the beach or pool front rooms.

Having a delightful stay at Muri Beach Hideaway. We are in one of the Lotus Bungalows and recommend these. More private than the beachside bungalows. Plenty of space for a couple, perfectly adequate bathroom and kitchen facilities, comfortable bed. The host Vina really friendly and helpful. Excellent choice to stay here.

Vina, the owner, was so warm and welcoming when we arrived and Muri Beach Hideaway is in such an amazing location. Vina provided us with lots of lovely home grown fruit and filled the fridge with water, milk and juice for our arrival. We really appreciated this factor as nothing is open when you arrive late at night so it was good to be able to make a cuppa and have something to eat. I loved the bungalows and the privacy and you can't beat the lagoon view, absolutely stunning. The bungalows have a great deck and you can see the beautiful lagoon from your deck if you stay in a lagoon or seaview villa. It rained a bit when we were there but the decks have blinds to roll down for a bit more protection and they worked at keeping the rain at bay so we could still chill out on the deck. There's no air-con but there was always a lovely breeze which kept it cool and a ceiling fan if needed. All windows are screened and the shutter doors are also screened. We actually didn't have any mozzies at all when we stayed as the wind kept them at bay. There's an outdoor shower to wash off and each deck has a big bowl of water to wash the sand off to keep the rooms nice and clean. And make sure you get the hammock out of the cupboard, very relaxing. I loved being at Muri Beach as it wasn't in the hustle and bustle of town but it still had a small village feel and wasn't isolated. You could walk to the bakeries, bars, small shops and car rentals easily. The night food markets (locals cooking local food) in Muri Beach were also fantastic and only a few doors up from the accommodation. It was lovely and quiet however there are roosters, they're everywhere though so it doesn't matter where you stay. We loved waking up to the sound of the drums and the singing from the Lagoon Cruise guys in the morning (about 8-9am so not too early). It just set the happy and relaxed tone every day. Couldn't have asked for more.
As a side note there's no free Wi-Fi on the island and if you found a hotspot it was a very slow connection. It was fantastic for tuning out and not having to worry about the daily grind but if you do need to keep in touch we found going to the Bluesky telecom office had a reasonable connection and a good deal for Wi-Fi rates.

Room Tip: Lagoon view bungalows have fantastic views and a bit more protected from the wind as they're set back slightly.

Vina who is the host of this amazing place is great. The bungalows are great, comfy and clean what more do you need. This is a small and quiet little place to stay. Easy access to the beach and a swimming pool also with lots of loungers and kayaks so use also. Ask Vina anything and she is more than happy to help sort anything out for you. Walking distance to Muri and lots of great eating places.
There is also the hillside bungalows which are great to stay in also a little further away from the beach but really nice and quiet and clean and comfy also

Room Tip: All the rooms in this place are great
