If you want that little piece of quality and privacy then Port Ferndinand should be on you list of places to stay in Barbados. It is further north then the famous St James area but St Peters is fast catching up. Cin Cin has just opened their new restaurant here, you also have the "Fish Pot" that is most definitely worth a visit in addition Port Ferdinand have just relaunched their own 5* restaurant. As for the apartments they are wonderful you want for nothing and you will not find bigger on this Island. The only minus you will find the fantastically furnished balconies are in the shade for almost the whole day. However you do have the Island in the center of the mariner that have a bar serving food and drinks all by the lovely pool. These apartments also come with a daily maid service so it is as close as you can get to a 5* hotel. A return visit is highly on the cards.

Wow. Honestly, Port Ferdinand is one of those rare places where what you see is what you get. In fact, the pictures probably don't do the resort justice.

The 4 of us have set a tradition of traveling during US Thanksgiving, and are still so amazed by our experience at Port Ferdinand. When we arrived, we were ushered to the bar as we waited for our rooms to be prepared, and treated to the best rum punch we've ever had. After that, we went to our respective rooms and were so amazed by the opulent and luxurious vacation homes. Literally - no detail was overlooked from the kitchen tools to the decor to the gigantic balcony overlooking the marina. Linens are comfortable, as are the beds and furniture.

From a location perspective, you are further from major cities and other restaurants. We don't mind walking though, and it's about 20 to 25 minutes to Speightstown where you can find a bunch of restaurants and local eateries/bars (maybe $20 USD taxi ride, one way).

The only few things that could have made our trip better were: 1) 13 59 was closed for renovations so we had little to no dining options after 8pm - it is open again now though; 2) the bath tub stopper didn't work so we couldn't take a bath - no biggie since we were almost always out and about, but the option would have been nice; and 3) there's really no beach at this resort - you'd need to take the water taxi to St Peter, their sister resort, but the beach is great there.

Beyond that, staff is friendly without being overwhelming. They're available when you need them, and then disappear to make the whole resort feel so private and special.

All in all, we would definitely go back. Thank you guys Port Ferdinand and St Peter for making our vacation so wonderful.

Wow wow wow absolutely breath taking. The hotel is amazing, the food, the views and the toiletries are all high end luxury. The staff made our stay extra special with their attention to detail and welcoming smiles. A cocktail in the pool is a must whilst admiring the yatchs and hotel. Looking forward to going back in May

I mean, WOW! We booked our family summer holiday with British Airways Holidays. I'll give them a quick plug here as their new website is such an improvement and their dedicated sales team are always on hand should you have any questions or concerns. I fell in love with Barbados a few couple of years back.

Having travelled extensively around the Caribbean, Barbs is the spot for me. I have stayed at a few hotels on island, but these hotels really are something special and suited our family needs perfectly. We had a two week break, spending the first week at Saint Peter's Bay and our second week at Port Ferdinand Luxury Residence. Both hotels are part of UNNA Luxury Resorts. For couples, families, groups or singles, these hotels really are something so special. The accommodations are some of the best I have experienced, world wide!! The level of detail, furniture, quality and offering was just such treat. Saint Peter's Bay is more the resort hotel, located on the beach and our three bed luxury ocean view doing just that, we even had a hot tub on the balcony for good measure. On arrival you are supplied with essentials; bread, milk, cheese, waters, teas and coffees, if you need anything more the concierge team are on hand to get you anything and everything you need.

Port Ferdinand is a little further up the coast and makes up a Marina where ultimate privacy is guaranteed. It is not located directly on the beach, but a private walkway will get you there in 5 minutes or you can use the private boat service to the beach at Saint Peter's Bay.

I honestly cannot praise both hotels enough!! The staff, the facilities, the food, the WINE, the security, the peace, the privacy... If you want your luxury private home away from home in Barbados then look no further. I cannot wait to go back!!

Keep up the EXCELLENT work UNNA, soon come back!

Arrived in Barbados on 7th sept and quickly fast tracked through the airport and taken to our resort. Tracey the concierge was waiting for us on arrival and showed us to our apartment. The 2 bed apartment was huge, fabulous lounge area and terrace overlooking the marina and ocean. Everything provided you could wish for. These apartments are truly stunning. There is a small pool by the quayside, but no beach directly accessible from the marina, however a free water taxi will take and pick you up down the coast to various beaches up to the Mullins beach area. We used the beach and facilities at the sister resort, St. Peter's bay, and were made very welcome by the staff there, poolside bar and restaurant great for lunch.
Tracey was so helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. She gave us lots of information and help booking restaurants and taxis and suggestions for places to visit.
We chose to come to Barbados in the quietest month and therefore lots of restaurants and bars were closed (including the restaurant at port Ferdinand ) however on the plus side the beaches were deserted - no fight for sun beds!!!
All the staff at the resort were very helpful and friendly and made our stay very memorable. Highly recommended.

Room tip: I would imagine that all rooms would offer the same due to location.
