We had no idea what to expect because we wanted to visit Addo Elephant park - the website wasn't very up to date so we were a little apprehensive but they seemed lovely over email and the honeymoon package was good.

We were picked up in a jeep and the adventure started there...we drove into the heart of South Africa and the guide was very knowledgeable about everything...telling us stories on our journey. The lodge is nestled deep in the heart of a forest and it felt like a disney film set - big creeper trees etc. We were greeted by all the staff who were extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The lodge was stunning - an old farm, wooden structure, open to the forest with a big log fire. The rooms were also amazing...a balcony overlooking the game reserve, a bed with a canopy and an open shower...I really felt at one with nature.

We were taken on trips to see the elephants of eden, to Addo (which was quite far) to see the sand dunes, to see the game...all the time being informed about everything we saw.

The food was spectacular...five course meals, amazing breakfasts - we felt like kings...and the service and staff were all so lovely...we cannot fault it...

we felt like kings...it was just a wonderful trip and so relaxing
