The timeshare resort of Club Mahindra in Binsar, in Uttarakhand, is almost 4 hours drive from Kathgodam, the nearest railhead. The road is narrow, typically winding and generally good, except for small stretches which are being widened or repaired. Unless one is braving it out in public buses, it is advisable to travel by a slightly larger and heavier car, than hatchbacks which abound in the area.

There are many budget restaurants on the way, where one can have a meal or snacks. Some are better maintained and is easy to spot from the hygiene perspective. The traveller should choose the restaurant rather than allow the hired-car driver to choose one.

The property is a highly rated one, by RCI. However, it is not at a very high altitude but is in a valley, which may disappoint some like me.

The well appointed rooms compensate for the shortcoming. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Maintenance may be a little better but overall is very nice.

The staff members are unusually polite, helpful and well-mannered, typical of the people of the area. They pile on food on you and there is every chance of putting on a little weight after the stay! The food is good and tasty but is on the rich side.

The crowning moment of the stay, for us, was viewing sunrise and an almost 180-degree view of the snow-covered Himalayan range. That entails leaving around 5AM and driving 10Km of unpaved and bumpy road, in fairly cold conditions. But the view at the end of it is magnificent and much to cherish!

We will also cherish the solitary walks through the pine and oak trees.

A word of caution. The area is full of monkeys who have the tendency of entering and messing up the room - hence, it is advisable to keep doors and windows propery shut.

Room Tip: Being in a valley, I do not think any room offers additional or better view. Ground floor rooms have easier access to the lawns.

A small resort in the jungle. A perfect place to relax. Only negative is that the main road is too close, so at night, one can hear vehicles move. The food is good - specially the Ghadwali Thali. Staff like Club Mahindra practice are friendly.

The resort is beautiful though not as big as other club mahindra resort. Some swing for kids. they have play zone which is chargeable. Rooms, bedding, bathroom are clean and big. Microwave n coffee machine n some utensils are available in room studio room. One sit in balcony and enjoy the surroundings.
The food is expensive but there are restaurants nearby and they can even deliver to the resort.
One can visit binsar sanctuary from there.

Club Mahindra binsar valley is a treat amidst dense forests . With the fact that there's almost nothing to visit nearby (except few long journey destinations & a not so worthy Wildlife Sanctuary ) I have to say that u should cum here n enjoy the resort for 2/3 days . The activities they offer , the evening show & events , bornfire, Lush green gardens , Outdoor wine & dine , Disco nights , Rock climbing , Cookery shows ,Rappling everything was superb !!! There's one more property of club mahindra here which are actually tree houses (approx 1/2 km away ) and even if u r not staying here u can still visit to have fun and I did that (but I should have stayed in that also) ...Overall a gud experience as always Mahindra rocks !!!

Thanks for reading

Club Mahindra Binsar Valley Resort is located in the pristine pure atmosphere of Binsar in Uttarakhand. The Resort is situated in a picturesque valley and is very well maintained. The lush green lawns, the variety of trees of different shades of green and the multi-coloured flowers of different hues make the resort exquisitely beautiful.
We spent five days at this resort and were never reminded of home. The staff made us feel totally at ease – Mr. Pritam Singh and Deepa made us feel comfortable right from the time we entered the resort and, thereafter, throughout our stay.
The large hearted Chefs Rajpal, Manish and Baldev Singh were very warm and went out of the way to provide the food of our choice. Ramesh and Kundan always served us with a smile in the restaurant.
Renu at the Activity Centre is very creative and a warm and friendly person. She taught our daughter landscape painting. In fact, our daughter learnt a lot from this bubbling young girl. Gopal, another creative and humorous person, entertained us by involving us in other activities at the resort. Renu and Gopal are budding youngsters who exude confidence in themselves and we are sure they will do well in their life.
Hemant Singh made our journeys smooth with his travel arrangements. Asha Devi took good care of the housekeeping requirements and Lila Devi did the laundry very well.
It was indeed a memorable holiday!

Room Tip: Some of the apartments on the ground floor have a beautiful view of the lovely garden.
