This newly renovated hotel is in the middle of the forest of Česky Raj, near the amazing sandstone rocks (Prachovsky Skaly). There are nice hiking trails and magnificent observation spots. The hotel, however, was a disappointment. Poorly maintained (burnt bulb in the night table lamp-- when asked for a replacement, they did, but did not check that the lamp worked-- it did not). Tiny bathrooms with poor water pressure. The restaurant was a disappointment as well. The food was average or below at dinner, and the breakfast was very poorly organized with a poor selection of foods compared to the average European hotel. The (free) WiFi service was slow-- adequate for email but little else. The TV in the room had only Czech channels, and the mattresses on the beds were awful-- soft and mushy.
In short-- an average hotel in a great location but little else to offer.More
