Nothing changed in this hotel within last 30 years. It is furnished in 80's style, but it is clean and if you don't mind, it is good location to spend few days in the middle of Czech paradise. Not sure about price and service for this money. You can find lot of accommodation in Czech paradise.

I have stayed in this hotel with my husband, 2 kids (7&3) and my mum & dad. We had a nice size family room with 4 beds but in the different building from the actual hotel which was a new part. My mum and dad had a double room in the hotel. rooms are very very small but clean. staff was very helpful and kind. We had lovely breakfast and absolutely delightful dinner, we all loved our food there.
The hotel is surrounded with beautiful large park and on your doorstep is "natural park of rocks".
Great for outdoor break for whole family who loves natural and walking through out the woods which is part of "bohemian paradise"...............

As for me, the main reason for choosing this hotel is its location. Hotel is situated almost on the borders of Prachovske skaly natural park, so you can easily access all the rocks and sandstones. The room was simple and small, but clean. All the towels were changed on daily basis. As the rooms were reconstructed probably with a drywall, you could hear every sound from the corridor or another rooms, but there was the only negative experience. We had breakfasts and dinners there in the restaurant, there was no need to complain. We appreciated, that the dogs were allowed in the hotel. Friendly staff, pleasant location, I think its also suitable for families with children.

Hotel is old and used. Rooms are partially renewed, so not so bad for sleeping, but restaurant is very old looking and staff look like from 19th century too :) Price is low, but for this level of hotel i expect even more cheap price. Surroundings is very nice, hotel is located in natural park with sand-stone mountains. So may be good for cheap family trip when you more time want traveling around in nice nature...

Parkhotel Skalni Mesto is a great place to stay providing that you do not expect luxury. I can compare the hotel to a dorminory - a large number of tiny rooms with a shower and basic equipment, twin beds and lockdown at 10 p.m. The hotel however, has a lot of advantages. It is located right next to Prachovske Skaly, stunning "city made of rocks", which is a great place for those who love nature, hiking, mountains, moss, kilometers of stairs made in stone, etc. Parkhotel Skalni Mesto is also only a stone away from the city of Jicin (home of Rumcajs of the famous cartoon). The hotel restaurant is great as well - the meals are tasty and affordable. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and it is varied. The staff is helpful, friendly and German or English speaking. As dog owners, we received the key to the back door to be able to go for walks while the rest of the hotel guests were still sleeping. Overall, we had a very nice stay in the hotel.
