As a Cairns local we went to Paperbark with not too many expectations as we eat out frequently around the local northern beaches area. My husband and I ordered an entree and main meal each hoping it would be nice. We were both pleasantly surprised with the entree and couldn't fault either dish, lots of yummy flavours. Our main meals arrived in a timely fashion and were equally yummy and very tasty. We had such a pleasant experience we decided to stay for dessert and were not disappointed. Thank you to the chef and our waitresses sylvia and especially lucy you were great and made our night perfect. Thank you for a fabulous dining experience we will be back again shortly.

Our son who lives in Cairns picked this restaurant for his 30th birthday dinner out of all the restaurants in the vicinity. We're very glad he did because it was certainly a memorable experience for our family.
We were blown away with the open air bar and restaurant setting and the tree lined pathway leading out to the beach. The ambiance is awesome, especially when the sun goes down and the subtle lighting on the wood and surrounding rainforest is amazing. We later stayed at Thala Beach and weren't surprised that both resorts were created by the same people.
We all enjoyed our meals tremendously and the service was great.
Would love to return next time we're back in the tropics.

This is the second time we have had breakfast at this Resort which is close to where we live. There was eight of us for breakfast for Easter Sunday morning. I had reserved a table the week before with a lovely staff member on the telephone. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and our table was set beautifully and close to the buffet. The entrance and ambience of this Resort is amazing. Lovely timber furniture which looks well maintained, together with cream and coloured cushions throughout reception and around the bar area. Very light and breezy, looking out to the beautiful rainforest and gardens. The tables are set well apart from other diners so you cannot hear each other's conversation which is good. The buffet had all types of cereals, yoghurts, juices, fresh fruit, cold meat and cheeses, together with the eggs (made to order if you prefer), lots of bacon, tomatoes, various teas and coffees. Our table was cleared of dirty china and cutlery promptly by very efficient staff. The cost for the buffet breakfast is only $20.00 per person which is very good value for such a lovely setting. We recommend this venue to our visiting friends all the time knowing that they won't be disappointed. Well done to the Management and Staff.

the lunch menu on offer was small and we would have liked a wider variety of choice however the fish was well cooked and the curry delicious. Service was pleasant and we had time to relax and enjoy the ambience.

We love this place and our most recent visit once again was perfect. The tropical atmosphere the table setting and as always the staff make this a great venue.
The four of us all ordered a range of different dishes which were all beautifully prepared and perfectly presented also the extensive wine list along with a great cocktail choice all combined to ensure our dining experience was just as we had told our friends it would be perfect!
