Owner description: This great little award-winning and family-friendly Museum contains two fun and fact-packed biographical galleries, the fantabulous interactive Story Centre and a sunny courtyard. Situated in Great Missenden where Roald Dahl lived for over 36 years, it was created as a home for the author’s archive (which visitors can see on our regular tours) and as a place to inspire creativity and a love of reading in children, about which Roald Dahl was passionate.

“Fun but small”
Reviewed 14 February 2012

Being an adult, I suppose I wouldn't appreciate it as much as children.. but I did find all the information relating to Roald Dahl's life very interesting; especially all the various memoribilia. One thing that would make the outing more exciting would have been some actors/characters from the books around; as I felt it was quite classroomy

“Great little museum for kids and adults alike!”
Reviewed 30 January 2012

The museum offered up a perfect slice of nostalgia (for me) and it was great to see the kids enjoying all the interactive activities. the setting is also charming, so although the museum doesn't take long to make your way around, there's a lovely village (and a couple of quaint pubs) to have a potter around afterwards.
