Great place when one wants to lay on the beach, but also when one wants to go sightseeing. It's near the beach, but also easily communicated with a highway. We've driven from Bari, but it's a better idea to land in Brindisi (maybe next time).

Great place to visit is Ostuni with a beautiful old city center, lights of which are visible from the upper floor of the villa. Brindisi can easily make for a shopping base. There is a mini-market nearby, so one can just don't drive anywhere if the beach and local life is all they after. But be prepared that most places have a siesta around 2pm-7pm.

The host is very communicative and can point to great places around and in south Italy in general.

We were as two families and we could work it out with our own schedules, when we wanted. The thing which I liked the most in the house are window shutters. They block light and noises, which is crucial for my baby daughter's good sleep. I like an outside shower with a sense of privacy, but also a fresh air.

I will gladly return when the right time will come.
