Conveniently located to visit the ruins of Tharros. The young lady at the reception desk was very friendly. The immediate environment is not very interesting. The menu in the restaurant is not inviting, and there are no other restaurants in the neighborhood. People were passing in front of our window through a flapping door, thus the window could not stay open at night. The mattresses were used but bathroom was OK with a good shower. A moodless hotel where often family parties are being held, with a basic breakfast.

We felt very well served. From the receptionist to the steakhouse they were very attentive and it shows that they form a very good team of work. The bedroom was very clean and very nicely decorated. The breakfast was very healthy and with lots of variety, the atmosphere was very family friendly. An unforgettable experience and well recommended.

We stayed for 12 nights in early July in a heatwave (38 degrees+) Phewww! The pool was fantastic, very clean and a much welcome relief from the heat. Other main positives about our stay was the friendliness of the staff who could not do enough to help us have an enjoyable stay. Our room was light, spacious, clean, with great A/C and free water supplied daily in the fridge. The hotel was very community minded and there was regular use of the pool by well supervised school trips and the pool was busier later in the day. We quite enjoyed this element of our stay. Together with the weekend weddings at the hotel, it gave an insight into the Sardinian culture, which is very family focused and child-friendly. One negative of our stay was the large number of mosquitoes around the area due to the swampy landscape. However, this may have been exacerbated by the heatwave. Breakfast was an amazing spread, with a great selection to accommodate varied tastes. The hotel main menu was rather limited. We did enjoy the food but portions were small and quite pricey so we tended to take a short drive to eat in Cabras or Oristano in the evenings. We found an amazing restaurant on the water's edge at S'Archittu, approximately 30 mins north of Cabras. A car is essential to explore the many beautiful coves and beaches around the west coastline (beach umbrella also recommended!). The Sinis peninsula has many sandy beaches, our favourite was San Giovanni which also hosts the tower and Tharros ruins. Take lots of euro coins for parking metres! A road trip along the costa Verdi brings unexpected delights, with winding mountain roads with spectacular views around each bend. Altogether we really enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated the smiley and welcoming reception.

We arrived on a Saturday and unknown to us this excellently located hotel was being used all day for a wedding. That in itself was not a problem. However being told on arrival that, as a result, the swimming might not be accessible and an evening meal out of the question was. Also the ensuite toilet did not flush properly. However the manager responded positively and provided an excellent free meal with wine on our well located patio.

This hotel is part of a sporting club surrounded by trees and fields. As such it is open to club members and those who pay to use its facilities for the day.

The swimming pool is excellent and well maintained. All ground floor rooms have a ensuite shower room and come with a very pleasant patio. Beds are comfortable and our room had a fridge and ample wardrobe space.

The quality of food and service is excellent. Breakfast is a helpful mix of buffet and waiter service with plenty of fresh fruit, continental cuisine and cooked items available.

To improve further the management needs to be more aware of balancing the requirements of hotel guests, club members and local customers. One example is the need for pool rules that show an awareness for the health and safety of all users. At present smoking, "bombing" and non-supervision are accepted. So young family members are at risk.

Another example is that hotel guests should be forewarned of public events that could affect their stay.

Room tip: Ground floor overlooking the countryside
