There were four of us, all really hungry. We have very much different tastes, so the order included four different dishes. We were served in a minute and everyone was happy: the youngest one of our group had the traditional Slovak sheep cheese dumplings. I myself could not resist the lovely pancake filled with plum jam. Thanks !

Room Tip: there are two indoor tennís courts

Well, stay was okay, we spent nice evening there. It should be very suitable for active weekend, cycling, or hiking stay around the south Moravian land. Staff service should be little bit better, we were waiting for dinner and they forgot evening rout.

Hotel Kurdejov near Hustopece, in the wine region of South Moravia, consists in fact of three very different buildings in pleasant grounds, each with only 15-20 rooms. There is a car park. The “Tenis” house, as the name suggests, houses tennis courts, also there is a pool, sauna and bowling. The “Vinar” house focuses on wine with large wine cellars and a wine archive and the most modern of the three is the “Adina” house. We stayed in the Vinar which we liked very much. It has a cosy rustic interior restaurant which serves good breakfast. Our room had a lovely view of the unusual 14h century fortified church and the hills. One evening we joined in a wine tasting session in the hotel cellar which was great and we could order some of the wine and collect it in the morning from a shop next to the restaurant. All well packed and boxed ready to transport. Sport facilities in the “Tenis” are open to all visitors. We used the pool.

We stayed 2 nights when visiting Brno. We were so surprised by this lovely but inexpensive hotel in a very small town. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the buildings are very characteristic and surround a nice internal garden, recommended if your are looking for a romantic trip outside of cities. One thing to remember, there is no bath foam nor hair dryer in the room. the hotel is well equipped with entertainment like bowling, tennis and table tennis, also sauna and pool that we didn't visit. beer in the bar is great, although the food is quite average. Free internal parking, and WiFi access.
we did also appreciated the young and friendly staff, some of them are also English-speaking, which seems not easy to find in Czech cities.
worth also to rent a bike to visit the hills and lake close the small town. Recommended.
