This motel is on the water, so the view from each room is very pleasant. There is one long balcony for all travelers between the room and the view so if you're looking for privacy, going before July and after August offers quite a bit of quiet time, especially if it's a romantic get away.
The service was excellent. The woman who checked us in was super nice. The beds were clean and comfortable, the bamboo sheets, glorious. Would recommend this hotel to all.

This hotel is pretty nice overall. The stuff is friendly and polite. Lots of things are included in the price which is nice, like you can take a boat/kayak and have a trip on the river. Or you have use a picnic barbecue area and have a fire or just grill something while having a very nice view on the river. the only downside is that the hotel itself is definitely due some renovations. Rooms are very old, furniture and overall.. feels raggedy.

Stayed in room overlooking the river. View of the river was pretty. My room and bathroom were outdated. The restaurant food was good and tasty. Their is a beach 5 mins away that is nice. Staff were pleasant .

This site has so much promise - on a wonderful spot of the river, just a short distance from beach.
Motel feels like it’s from another era and could be a classic if it weren’t badly run down.
Management does not respond well to any comments or feedback. The default response is defensive.
The faucet in my room was leaking and when I called, they readily admitted it happened in the neighboring room too, but all you have to do was turn tap harder. In fact, a lady came and used her shirt to try and twist taps tighter, still leaked... but they denied to address it.
The water noticeably smells of sulphur which they also deny.
Not surprisingly in an outdated motel, noise travels easily and everything can be heard from nearby rooms - whole conversations, each step taken...
The room was in dire need of an update - everything was ancient and long in the tooth.
Could be great but it is the opposite of great... suggest you take a pass despite the great location and try somewhere else.

The most stressful booking experience I have ever experienced was at Kit-Wat Motel. The owner of the motel intentionally failed to disclose that there was a $20 cancellation fee, even if you cancel before 72 hours of their cancellation policy. I checked by bank account and was surprised that they did not refund the full amount to my credit card. When I called to let the motel know, the owner lied and said that she had told me about the fee and could not provide any evidence that she disclosed this before. If I had known about this $20 fee, I would never have made a reservation at Kit-Wat. I have to go through the trouble of speaking with my bank to correct this now. Extremely frustrated with the lack of transparency by the owner.

Room tip: Make sure to get everything in writing from the hotel. Do not trust verbal confirmation through the phone.
