We have been customers here probably since their first week of operation... usually for home delivery; very occasionally for eat-in in their small footprint location. It is a tad bigger than a hole in the wall size, with a few tables inside and some out on the street, but it is a pleasant ambience... definitely not like one of the over-lit stark "cafeteria" restaurants that populate a lot of Rowe St Eastwood. It is a welcoming space somehow, staffed by youngish staff who seem happy. Hooray!
All experiences have been very good. On one occasion I celebrated my birthday dinner with my little family; sitting out on the pavement on the Grain's metal stools with our BYO on a warm Feb night; food was perfect, staff are always a delight. They seem authentically and genuinely nice, honest and friendly, and seek to provide a very good service.
Right from the first night, we have often needed several (if not all) dishes to be gluten free. They needed no run up time to know about gluten free and the risk of cross contamination for a coeliac; even in their first week of operation when I went and spoke to the staff they were knowledgeable already and had their head around which dishes could be modified etc.
We are extremely grateful to have such a high quality local thai that is such good value with such lovely staff. They deserve to continue to do very well. Bravo and thanks!!!
