The staff here are so welcoming, courteous and helpful. The hotel is well situated for the town, kabuki theatre and the shrines. It is a typical Japanese hotel with traditional rooms and full en suite facilities. The picture windows in the room presented a pleasant vista. Yakuta available. Onsen both inside and outside. The outside (ladies) onsen had roses in the water and the gents Onsen had oranges. Umbrellas, sticks, towels and hats are available to borrow.
We stayed for 2 nights in room 618 on a breakfast and dinner basis. Dinner is traditional Japanese fare and beautifully presented and excellent quality. There is so much food though and we could never finish it and felt quite guilty at the waste.
As others have mentioned English is limited for conversation but is more than adequate for service and requests (and it is Japan so try out a few words!). Smiles always work. Well recommended.More
