I usually prefer hotels to private accommodation but stumbled on to this after a very late booking.com mishap. Anyway so glad that I did. It had everything we needed. We only ever intended to cater for breakfast so stove top, microwave, toaster did it all for us. It was small but not for Japan standards and super efficient in its layout. We didn't feel cramped at all but a place for suitcases would have been welcome. That is the only thing negative I have to say. The beds were super comfy and the comforters really warm. The heating was excellent as was the shower/bath. Wifi very welcome to plan the next ski day.
But the best was the service by Takashi and Daniel. They were so welcoming. We hired our ski gear directly through Takashi. It was less than half the price of the operators you find in Hakuba using google and it was there when we arrived and left in the house at departure. Takashi also took us to the Big grocery store and helped us navigate through the necessities.
The location is great with a 5 minute walk to the bus stops in Echoland.
