We stayed for 1 night. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a balcony but the view was of a wall and there was a lot of construction in the area. The breakfast was included and good. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was easy to find.

I was visiting the area and some friends and family were staying at the hotel. I wanted to visit and share with them one of the days in the pool area as I used to do it before but they told me I was not allowed to be near the pool. The Food is great, the ladies at the restaurant as well but if this situation doesn’t change, my family and I will never come back or recommend the place. I was willing to pay for the service and pool usage but it was unacceptable the way they just advice you can´t not use the pool that you have being using for years.
We ended up here after trying to find our way out of San Juanillo in the worst rain storm ever.. We couldn't drive any further and had to stop... Thank goodness we found this hotel.. We walked in looking like drowned rats into the restaurant and asked for a room. The lady at the bar was more than hospitable. She gave us a room at discount and what a room! We felt like we were in heaven. It was very spacious and luxurious. The bed was a huge King. Big fluffy white pillows.. There was a kitchenette and we had a balcony with a beautiful view. Back down to the bar for a well needed nightcap. The restaurant was full and lively. We even bumped into some friends.. Their food looked delicious. Had a great nights sleep before getting back on the road.. We will definitely be back. A real hidden gem

This place never lets me down. Old Costa Rica like it used to be and should be, in totally comfortable accommodations. Great food in the restaurant, and a quick walk or drive to the best beach in The Guanacaste. Super friendly staff of ladies that are always smiling and ready to laugh. Waking up here and having coffee on the balcony listening to the monkeys, birds, frogs, cows and roosters before surfing will never get old for me. Pure CR. Great bargain too. Beautiful San Juanillo is a short drive to the South - dont miss it for sunset.

We went to Marbella Surf Inn for our daughter's destination wedding. The Inn is located off the beaten path, in the middle of lush landscaping, spacious pastures with grazing cows and horses. Also it was about a 1 mile ride to the beautiful black sand beach of the Pacific Ocean.
Darcy ( the owner) arranged everything for us from a car service at the airport (with cold beer and bottled water), Mother's Day breakfast buffet, rides to the beach side restaurant for the night before dinner, outstanding wedding design at the beach and the Inn's restaurant decorated to the exact wishes of the bride and the delicious wedding dinner. I am sure there was so much more he did for the bride and groom! The rooms were clean and nicely air conditioned and the grounds and pool were lovely and clean, as well!
The chef, Pedro, was a magician with the meals! The thin crust pizza was a lunch favorite! Everything that came out of the kitchen was amazing! We have never eaten fruit like this!! He and the rest of the staff never stopped smiling and were welcoming and wonderful! All of them have become our new Costa Rican family!!
It was our first trip to Costa Rica but we hope is not the last! We would love to return to the Marbella Surf Inn for another relaxing and peaceful vacation!
