Great lodge; whole villa to ourselves with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and one huge living room.
All the staff really nice! David, the resident naturalist is fantastic and knows everything about the close by Kanha park and the wildlife big and small.
Food was great.
Kids loved it all, especially the swimming pool.
A proper home from home.
Definitely recommend it!!!

We heard of Singinawa Jungle Lodge when Pranad and Kriti, whom we befriended on a previous trip to Tadoba, moved to work at Kanha. Their website looked very promising and come safari time of the year, we decided upon Kanha and Singinawa.

The road from Raipur airport to the Lodge is smooth as butter and Sunil from Singinawa drove us very comfortably and safely, covering a 190km distance in less than 4 hours.

The Lodge is gorgeous! It shares it boundary with the buffer zone of the park and is designed to make you feel like you are living in the jungle itself! For those who like birds, get your cameras ready - there are several species on the property! The cottages are located some distance from each other, offering complete privacy with sounds of the jungle as your only companion. The rooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated with a private sit-out. It was charming to find attention paid to tiny details like stocking the room with insect repellant and having uber cute (and tasty) pug mark shaped cookies greet us upon arrival! Housekeeping was on its feet at all times! It looked like they stepped in to straighten out the room every time we stepped out!

The reception area with its majestic staircase flanked by pictures of wildlife is quite a sight! There are two dining halls and a bar with a terrace, the latter being the perfect set up for an evening drink under the stars!
The pool - ah the alluring pool! It is a must to spend time around the property and lounge in the pool even if it means you have to stay an extra day or do one less safari!

The staff makes sure the safari vehicle is prepared to handle any kind of weather the forest may throw at you - ponchos for rain and blankets for the cold! They also pack a picnic style breakfast for the guests on the morning safari.

Pranad was our naturalist and he took us on 3 safaris. Despite bad luck with unexpected rains, he still managed to get us a tiger sighting at a distance of 15-20 feet! Pranad is a storehouse of knowledge and there’s so much he has to share about the forest and it’s inhabitants.

The food is outstanding! Be prepared to put on a kilo or two as the kitchen staff whip up these fantastic dishes and even more fantastic desserts (I have to mention the ‘sevviyan’ - best I’v ever had!).

Whilst the staff ensures you have nothing to complain about, what will go down in our hearts is their genuine warmth. Pranad, Kriti, Ghanshyam, David you made Singinawa home away from home. From seamlessly handling an addition to the reservation to the long discussions on topics ranging from wildlife to politics, you guys added that X factor that made this an unforgettable visit!
Kanha and Singinawa, we’ll see you again!

We were looking for a quiet break in the summers and Kanha vacation came up as an unlikely option. We had no idea how it was going to be and we were in for a pleasant surprise. Situated some 12 Km away from the Kanha National Park, this property is practically an extension of jungle itself. They were very supportive from the very beginning. On my mentioning that I have a back trouble, they changed my mattress to a harder one. The food was simple, yet luxurious and very very tasty.
The people managing the place, Kirti, Ghanshyam, Sachin, Solanki Ji, everyone was absolute delight to be with and talk to. They took care of us in the best manner possible and made sure we were comfortable and entertained.
Mr. Tirath, who took us on the safari was very learned and ensured our sighting of 4 tigers due to his patience. Solanki Ji made sure that we spotted more than 30 types of birds on two consecutive morning nature walks!
After a very long time, I didn't feel like coming back home. Thanks a lot for the hospitality. We will surely visit again very soon.

I cannot recommend more strongly this absolutely wonderful place to stay in Kanha National Park at the Mukki Gate Side. Apart from the excellent, luxury, accommodation offered (little cottages) ithe staff are also very creative (dinner in a different setting each of the three nights I was there!) the food is simple and very tasty and varied and the attention to little expected and unexpected details is second to none!! The Staff are wonderful. And our Naturalist Pranad Patil was super and knew where to go ahead of time to "meet" the tigers and when to stay and when to leave. He also was a mine of info regarding other species in the Park, including the birds. Yes - I can really say that if you give this place a miss while you are in Kanha you are making a big mistake! Incidentally it is not the first time I have been to Kanha but it is the first time that I have stayed in Singinawa. All thanks to Sharad Vats who recommended it to me and booked a friend and myself in there.

On an early afternoon in April, we reached Singinawa Lodge. Over the next three days, we would discover a home away from home, filled with friends, wildlife stories, and great food. Such is the place and its undeniable charm.

We had heard of the jungle of Kanha from many, but, we did not hear of Singinawa Lodge till two people—Pranad and Kriti—whom we knew from a previous visit to Tadoba started working there. We decided one day that we must go—to visit the jungle, stay at the beautiful lodge (as the internet promised), and of course, to meet the people whom we had befriended a little more than a year ago. The reservation process was smooth, despite me moving things here and there (sorry guys about that). I changed the dates from May to April and yet Sushant from reservations and Kriti from management were extremely helpful. The problem arises as you need to confirm about the permits before booking your stay. Sushant and Kriti managed both in quick time. So, we set off on our journey with ease from Pench on April 11.

The lodge is beautiful with a deep sense of artistry. At the entrance to the main building, you have a beautiful tree. There are two dining areas, both resplendent with amazing photography of wildlife. Each one of them have an associated story and the folks at Singinawa regaled us with those tales. There is a beautiful lounge where you can relax after safaris, have a drink, and chat with fellow jungle enthusiasts the day’s stories. There is a library there too for lazy bookworms like me. You can sit on the terrace next to the lounge and soak up the night sky and the wind.

There are multiple lodges there, most of them for two people. We stayed in the one called Jungle Cat and it was beautiful, especially the small pathway leading up to it. The staff leave small stories and notes every evening, reminding you of the wonderful feeling that comes with nature. If you are a bigger group, they have two lodges that can accommodate you. The interiors of the lodge were astounding—paintings, pictures, books, etc. Well-designed and luxurious, any traveler will find his or her weary bones having a great night’s rest.

The entire lodge is situated next to the buffer area and you can often see deer, langurs, and some felines like (jungle cat) if you are lucky. Pranad, our naturalist and a great one at that, took us around for a walk in the lodge property. Early morning one day, we heard alarm calls close by. Fascinating to the core! It will give you a trailer of what is perhaps to come in the Kanha jungle. We also saw in a corner of the lodge property an Indian rock python. Pranad took us to three safaris, each one to different regions of the jungle. His knowledge of the jungle is fantastic. My wife and I are nature lovers and we loved each description, each part of the jungle, and each animal we saw. My advice: Don’t just focus on the tiger, you will lose the other precious sights of the jungle. And don’t miss out on the birds, especially asking your naturalist for more details. The naturalists of Singinawa are a class apart—all of them. Fine people all of them, they will regale you with details and stories and never fail to answer your queries, even if it means checking and re-checking details and getting back to you. Pranad was such a guy. There are other naturalists we met like Sachin, Rakesh, and David (don’t forget to get an autographed book of David’s on the birds of India). All of them make the evening gatherings just beyond awesome.

The food is great, wonderfully prepared and with variety over the days. The team puts a lot of thought into what they serve every day. So, if you are at Singinawa, don’t worry about your gastronomical desires. You will find them fulfilled. Their packages generally come with lunch, dinner, and breakfast; Moolchand, Abhinay, and Deepak took really good care of us when we were having our meals. And Kriti, Ghanshyam Ji, and their team are just the sweetest that ever come. They will ensure that you have a good stay, including any drops at the airport or pickups (at a price of course).

Words aren’t enough to thank all the folks at Singinawa. We will be back for sure. Hope one day, we can return the fun, love, and hospitality we received there. We will savor it forever.

Room Tip: All the lodges are good. So just relax and enjoy nature
