“Fantastic time!”

When I booked the Little Roost Rosemary answered me really quickly and gave me directions to get there. Her communication was fantastic.

The Little Roost is a special place in a quiet idyllic spot in Lyme Regis. When we arrived our welcome pack was waiting for us of local produce, eggs, bread and local beer which we sampled on the sunny terrace and we felt really at home and Marlon the cockerel welcomed us too! The cottage is spotlessly clean with all you could need without being crammed. Thoughtfully decorated with an incredible shower which we took full advantage of! and a quirky spiral staircase up to the second floor. The bed is super comfortable and we were woken in the morning by birdsong and the sound of the nearby river-so peaceful.

The walk into Lyme Regis is also beautiful with hedgerows of wild garlic and bluebells alongside the winding river. There are so many bridle paths and things to explore along the way. Look out for the pastel coloured stone cottages and the Mill Town Bakery is a must!

We met Rosemary and Duncan who were so helpful and friendly telling us of the places to visit and things to see (and taste!) -Rosemary even gave me a spade and pot to put my garlic in to take home. We were lucky enough to be able to spend an extra night there and so glad we did as we have come home super relaxed and recharged. If you choose to stay here you won't be disappointed-we didn't want to leave.

Thank you both for a really special time
Alison and Malcolm

We recently stayed at this gem of a property. It is an ideal location for a few days being situated close to Lyme Regis. It is very well equipped to meet all your needs including a thoughtful welcome pack containing all the essentials. The cottage is tastefully furnished and is extremely comfortable. It is a peaceful and therapeutic place to stay. Perfect for a romantic interlude.

“A gem of a place!”
Reviewed 4 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay here. The cottage is ideally located for exploring Lyme and its surrounding region, or just for taking local walks. It is quiet, clean, cosy, comfortable and warm. The furnishings are tasteful and the cottage is well equipped with facilities. The bathroom, though smallish, is thoughtfully well appointed with shelves and places to hang towels and gowns. The shower is wonderful! The kitchen functions excellently. It especially nice to arrive after a long drive to find milk in the fridge, bread, and tea/coffee provided, a vase of flowers on the table, and a chocolate on each pillow.
