Very relaxing with loads of in-house options to enhance your stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 30 Sept 2024via mobile
We really enjoyed our stay here for three nights.
We opted for the two bed suite which really worked well for us as there were three generations in our party so we all had our own space.
It was fresh and spotlessly clean.
There was a relaxing lounge area with tea and coffee making facilities.
Lovely crisp bed linen and there was an excellent shower with loads of hot water and lovely fluffy towels.
There is a really good breakfast selection and I can recommend the full Irish and the pancakes both were excellent.
The home made brown bread also deserves a mention a firm favourite each morning.
We enjoyed some dinners there too and there was no problem when we asked for some dishes to be served plain to suit one of our party and we also enjoyed a few cocktails.
Connemara Sands Hotel is very relaxing, the staff are welcoming and so helpful nothing is too much trouble.
It’s beside the sea and offers a lot of options spa/seaweed baths/sauna/easy access to the beach for a lovely walk to name a few.

We had such a good experience a couple of years so we decided to make a return trip. On this trip we booked a larger suite which was really good value. On this trip, we did the sauna on the beach and the seaweed baths which were great addition to the hotel. Again the food was beautiful and the staff are fantastic.

We really loved this hotel.......when we arrived we wanted to upgrade our room.....Marian very kindly facilitated this........from Marian at reception to the lovely bar man and the very friendly and efficient waiting staff they made our two nights a very relaxing break away from it all. The food was absolutely delicious ....not to mention the cocktails.
What a beautiful location ......our room overlooked the sea and there was a lovely path from the hotel to the beach five minutes away.
We drove via the the Inagh Valley on our way home ......just magic.
we are already looking forward to revisiting this really gorgeous and friendly hotel.

Great location, right on the beach with a sauna beside the waters edge. Relaxing in the seaweed baths was a real treat. Accommodation was excellent and food quality was exceptional. Overall well worth a stay. The staff were so helpful and could not do enough to help you at all times.

Had the most perfect catch up with friends here last night . We booked the sauna/sea swim for 6pm . We were greeted at reception by Marion who was so welcoming and friendly as always . The sauna experience is an absolute bargain @€15pp . The view from the sauna is breathtaking! A really unique experience. We then made our way back to the hotel where we had booked a table in their newly added conservatory. The service was top notch. All of the staff so friendly and attentive. The food was just delicious. Two of us shared a starter plate which was various homemade breads with tapenade chilli oil sundried tomatoes confit garlic hummus . Delicious
The other starter was a delectable lobster pie with a shot glass of lobster bisque . Perfection !
My main was the highlight of the evening. The most delicious scallops perfectly paired with pickled celeriac and celeriac puree among other things . An explosion of flavour ! A really enjoyable evening. Highly recommended
