A huge family-run out of the way place near the remotest tip of Connemara, that combines pub, restaurant and Mace shop next door. An other wordly feel for visitors – locals speaking Irish in a charming accent, lots of men in baseball caps at the bar and a nice restaurant. A large menu and great choice of seafood – we had grilled fillet of cod with creamed potatoes and mixed seafood pasta. Catering areas, foyers were clean and and toilets generally well maintained. Huge place with a nice terrace; as we had very good weather we enjoyed a Guinness outside to the sound of animated conversations in Irish (Gaelic). A memorable visit with friends from England - we hope to return.
