A huge family-run out of the way place near the remotest tip of Connemara, that combines pub, restaurant and Mace shop next door. An other wordly feel for visitors – locals speaking Irish in a charming accent, lots of men in baseball caps at the bar and a nice restaurant. A large menu and great choice of seafood – we had grilled fillet of cod with creamed potatoes and mixed seafood pasta. Catering areas, foyers were clean and and toilets generally well maintained. Huge place with a nice terrace; as we had very good weather we enjoyed a Guinness outside to the sound of animated conversations in Irish (Gaelic). A memorable visit with friends from England - we hope to return.

If you are visiting Clifden area, take a drive down R341 toward Ballyconneely and have dinner here. The abience is warm and cozy, great lighting for dinner, candles etc. The food is great.

Stopped here for some lunch and found it to be a charming pub with nice staff. However from reviews on food was expecting more. Both mine and my partners dishes lacked flavour and taste but would recommend the place for a drink.

You know it doesnt get much better than this !! A fantastic family just always anxious to please no matter how busy they might be, and believe me they are always very busy, must be doing something right !!
David, John, Lorna all of them the hardest working people on the planet yet make time to chat and listen to visitors, in other words communicators.
I have eaten meals here, had a great pint of Guinness and ordered building materials including some necessary shopping items all in the month of Nov. 2017 and I must say the entire experience was, and still is a pleasure to deal with such a lovely family.
If you want a nice dining out experience, want to order a piece of timber, order paint for your refurb, or enjoy a pint in great local company or indeed do some excellent shopping whilst filling up your car with fuel then look no further that Keogh's of Ballyconneely.
Highly recommend the services of this family.

Stopped at Keogh's on our way back from the Cliffs of Moher. Loved it: great service, great food! On a restricted diet, no carbohydrates, I had steak and salad and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had a burger and fries which he said was very good. Presentation was everything too!! See my pictures!
