Our love affair with the Mavi Hotel started about four years ago , this was on a dining only basis , when travelling from Madrid to Santander we would always stop for a meal around lunch time , just could not fault the fab food.
So this time we decided to stay at the hotel for the night , arrived about 8.30pm , went to the room and we got a real niff from the bathroom , the drains were honking , so filled the shower with water thinking that the water trap was lost due to evaporation (this can happen in any hot climate) , went down for dinner , food again was spot on very good indeed , so off to bed and the pong was still there , shut the bathroom door..
Not a bad nights sleep , bed comfy . but at 7.30 am we were woken by the bins being emtied by the bin man , full toot noise me dears.
So to sum up , deffo for food will go back but will give it the miss on staying there again. Room rate was fair 51 EurosMore
