Description: It is a Coffee-Bar done with respect to the Greek tradition on the top of Pyrgos hill.We serve a selection of coffee, fresh fruit drinks, milk shakes, ice creams and desserts. Some appetizers and light food are available.Aperitifs and cocktails are our pride: Mr. Franco, the owner, has a collection of international awards for the quality of his drinks and for the style of his management.Warning! Because of its style and music (classical and retro only) Franco's Café is not addressed to everybody, but to people with a certain sensitivity.

We stumbled across this cafe while wondering around Pyrgos and we were glad we did. We both had a cold drink and ice cream, The waitress was really friendly and the cost were average for Santorini. We sat outside overlooking amazing views of the caldera and surrounding areas, there were shaded areas to get out of the hot sun and quiet classical music played in the background. Would go there again.

We would almost miss this place had we not been driven there by our curiosity to explore the village.Franco's bar is well known but we didn't know another one opened in Pyrgos.Really enjoyed the view while drinking our fresh lemonade.Quiet and peaceful with sounds of classical music and the beautiful terrace. The owners and waiters were very kind.Beautifully decorated,if you visit Pyrgos you must seek for it.

PERFECT SPOT, perhaps the BEST on the Island.

First if you want to have the perfect spot at Franco's, do not hesitate to call to book a table (we called early in the afternoon to get a table at 7 pm for the sunset and we had a table with nobody in front of us, just at the edge of the terrace.. it was perfect).

Second, why is it that amazing? It is far from the crowd of Oia, it has the best sunset view of the island, it is hidden in Pyrgos, one of the cutest villages in Santorin, drinks (special mention for the franco style Spritz and the santorinian dry red - the waitress poured me a huuuuge glass.. twice) and food (large plate of feta cheese, olives, crackers...) are really good.

As for the prices (12€/cocktails and 6€/wine), considering the prices on the Island, it is actually pretty cheap !! One of my best souvenir of my Greek journey that is to say!

Oh and "cerise sur le gâteau", they give you a plaid if you are cold.

I was looking for an alternative for the masses and competing spots for the sunset in Oia. Stumbled upon this online and decided to give it a try. A bit of a climb up a steep hill and asking for directions later - we found this place. Initially, they wouldn't let my 9 year old come up to the terrace but after cajoling they relented. We had two prossecos, two ouzos, and something to eat. There is lovely classical music playing and the sunset in unobstructed - you aren't dealing with the masses in finding a perfect place! I would definitely recommend giving this a try - we are still going to Oia, but, this is gorgeous!
