A poor welcome. When I asked if we could sit in the beer garden, the waiter looked upset, and service was very slow. To the point I was convinced we were being ignored- and it wasn’t busy.
It wasn’t busy because not only was customer service poor, but the quality and portion size of the food was shameful.
If you are hungry after a walk, don’t eat here.
I paid £20 for a seafood ‘platter. It should be readvertised as an appetiser. And stale ‘crusty’ bread . See picture.

No booking, no problem. Friendly staff, very good choice food and beer. Good portions, too full for dessert. Veg cooked as it should be. Reccomend the Salmon Salad. Would go again, tomorrow. Bryan Martin Dorothy.

First time at here but really enjoyed our visit. The staff were really welcoming and friendly . Our food was delicious , especially the steak and ale pie , which was packed with steak and really tasty. The beer was also enjoyable . We will return if in the area again.
