Checked out the website and the reviews to see if it was just fine dining and if there were affordable options, it looked as though there were. When we arrived we were given a menu with no prices.... 3 course meal for 2 people with 3 glasses of wine between is cost £145. We thought from the online menu we would be spending about £50/head.

However, the service was excellent. The food was innovative and delicious. I have fine dined before and I would say this was mostly of great taste. We found a couple of textures not to our personal preference for the dessert but the mushroom lasagna was amazing. And the extras they bought to the table were equisite.

The reason for 4 stars and not 5 was the lack of clarity of the cost and that there were some texual issues with the dessert (see picture of liquid gold, nothing to contrast the wet slithery texture) but overall it was a wonderful experience.

Just returned after a splendid lunch at Boringdon Hall, in The Gallery restaurant. Good value three course lunch for £29.95 per person. I would say that the quality is better than some Michelin starred places we have been to. I loved the sublime jazz trio playing ( every second Sunday) and the service was superb. Coffee and petit fours rounded off the meal nicely. Wines are of good quality, and pretty reasonable ( nice bottle of Malbec to go with our beef for £22) Would highly recommend for a chilled out Sunday lunch . Most memorable , - thank you!

We held a lunch in the Rose Room for my 70th birthday with family and friends. The food was absolutely delicious, a comment agreed by all of our guests and the staff attentive, couldn't have wished for more.

We booked the Gallery Restaurant in celebration of our daughter’s graduation and it was the perfect end to a special day. The food was sublime. It was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and the flavours were innovative. The portions looked small on the plate, but in reality they were filling and we didn’t need any more. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive, making us feel comfortable. The only negative was that the mains were served without side dishes and there was a surcharge for side dishes which we felt should have been included in the set price of the meal.
