Lovely and historic coaching inn with old world charm and comfort. The rooms are very small and that makes you question the value for money. Our evening meal in the Bistro was very good with the most generous portions I have ever encountered. The hotel has plenty of space and is clearly an active participant in the life of the town. Breakfast was very good however the coffee wasn't great and the percolator queues were quite long! The town is a gem and it has a castle with superb views of the rolling countryside. Offa's Dyke is also very near by.
