Just spent a lovely weekend in this old Inn. Loved the village and the hotel was so cozy. Ok if you've a room at the top you need to be nimble and there were sloping ceilings in our room but that all adds to the charm. Great food at breakfast with cooked breakfasts served to order. Great evening meals too all reasonably priced. Never made it to the pool so will have to return.

Made very welcome. Bedroom was fine except that the shower in the bath (no shower as such) was in a very awkward place. Under a sloping roof which made it virtually impossible to shower efficiently and the bath was quite difficult to get into. Breakfast was fine. The evening meal could have been a bit better and faster waiting service. Brilliant to have a pool even though it was quite small. Could do with another shower in it.

All in all, our stay was great.

Cosy, friendly, family run hotel with good restaurant and superb breakfast. Good value single room, (room 2), but little or no wardrobe space although ok for an overnight stop. TV reception in room was very sketchy, with no BBC1 or BBC2, but very good wifi so not a problem if you have a tablet with the BBC i player app.
I really enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay again if I'm in the area.

Great location, food and bar.

Two big issues, partly due to buildings age and partly due to management choice, the rooms are tiny, sometimes include stairs or low beams or both and the furniture seems to have been acquired at a car boot sale. Breakfast quite good but would be improved by more organisation and doubling the quantity of filter coffee used, it was like brown water.

Staff are all excellent, helpful and friendly, great choice of gin and beer too.

Shame about the rooms and the coffee. Thanks
