“Not an apartment, just rooms.”

Apart from the shock of finding we were basically sharing a house rather than having our own apartment, it wasn't bad.

The house is quite nice and kept very clean and tidy by the live-in owner, who is also very friendly, but doesn't speak any English.
Note, the "owner" you book and communicate with via the booking page is actually another booking agent, not the owner. The house feels more like a Tyrolean ski lodge, with lots of ornaments and decorations from Austria.

The location is not bad either, with short walks to beach, shops, restaurants etc. plus very easy access with car and ample parking on the road. It was closer to main road than we expected so some traffic noise audible.

Kitchen/dining room had a good size balcony, although north facing, so only minimal sun at end of the day, and not a particularly inspiring view of local builder’s yard and municipal rubbish dump in the distance.

Kitchen is well equipped with utensils and lots of extra items you rarely find in holiday rentals, like an electric kettle and coffee maker. Fridge has a proper freezer compartment which is a plus. The over didn't work properly, I think the thermostat is broken, as it just gets hotter and hotter, so is not really usable.

Bedrooms are attic-style rooms with a single small window. Kitchen/diner has no window but a door to the balcony. All rooms seem very dark and can get quite hot and stuffy with no aircon or fans. Plus unable to leave doors open due to shared occupancy of house.

Biggest negative is that it is not an apartment as described. The house has a number of bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen/dining rooms all opening out onto shared hall and stairs. So there is no privacy when coming out of the shower, or going to the loo in the night. The smell of cigarette smoke and noise from other occupants was also very irritating. Woke most morning with a cough!

No towels provided, had to ask for these. Would have liked a sheet/towel change after a week.

In summary, not bad, but mis-sold.
