We stayed 5 miles from here and went on Thursday night. 12 of us, great service, lovely wine...but, the pizzas...WOW! 16" easily, thin and tasty beyond belief! A must for all the family...!

A typical Italian family restaurant, also suitable for larger groups. Excellent food, italian atmosphere, friendly service, welcoming people. And all this for a very honest price. We'll certainly visit again!

We have been coming here for several years and the standard and quality of the food and service is consistently excellent. A large, busy, bustling restaurant, it is advisable to book ahead. There are often large family groups here, enjoying the friendly service and generous portions of true Italian food. The anti-pasti della casa is a must - a huge serving of meat, cheese, vegetables, pickles, olives, bread with cold and hot dishes, one portion is plenty for two people. The pizzas are unbelievably huge and wafer thin, piled up with generous amounts of toppings. Pastas are cooked fresh on the premises - the ricotta ravioli with sage and butter is a delicate, aromatic dish which I recommend. Unfortunately I can't comment on the desserts as I never have room for one! Don't miss this gem if you are in the Cingoli region.

Let's start with the drive there in the early evening the views are spectacular made even better by the setting sun. It was very much a restaurant full of local people out as families and groups. Those who couldn't get a table inside sat outside eating pizza and drinking beer under the stars. We got inside and ate a fantastic meal. We started with the mixed starter and that was a meal in itself. Countless dishes of different things that just kept on coming. Then we ordered pizza and thankfully again shared as 9 of us where unable to finish 4 pizzas between us. They were very large pizzas freshly cooked, with fresh toppings and wonderfully thin crisp bases. The local house wine was like drinking Prosecco but at a fraction of the price (well compared to UK price) plus the local beer was good. The choice of desserts were great for those that had room. Plus as all good Italian restaurants do you get a bottle of liqueur to have a shot with your coffee. As a limoncello fan a polite request for a glass was met with the bottle and glass! Well worth a drive up into the mountains just for the sunset view.

We visited Osteria del Forno in July whilst staying near San Severeno. We arrived at 7.30pm opening time one evening without a reservation and were lucky to get a table as they were almost fully booked. The menu was varied & whilst in Italian there were English translations beside which for people like us, who enjoy practising our somewhat limited Italian but are not overly confident, was helpful! The two people who served us were friendly and patient with our attempts to speak Italian - despite the fact their English was certainly better than our Italian. We ordered starters to share of caprise which came with additional bread and followed with pasta ragu, lamb and pizza dishes which were all very good. We shared deserts - pannecotta and ice cream which looked and tasted delicious. The restaurant was busy but we didn't feel rushed. The relaxing atmosphere suited us and the views at sunset over the hills were fabulous. Definitely recommend if you are in the area. Booking would be advisable!
